Looks like quality stuff. A pole hedgetrimmer would be a nice addition to this line as well. I am an arborist and often get asked to do some trimming at greater heights. I would love to see Bosch come up with a system that is lightweight and comfortable, with a decent reach. Ofcourse there is the one that Bosch green makes, which looks pretty ok, but I rather have one I can use with my Bosch pro core batteries. And hopefully the pro version will be better balanced and lighter to use for extended periods.

Thanks for the offer Matt 😉 As for the metric questions, the guys were a little stumped just due to the nature of the data available at the time. As these are brand new tools they haven't had quite the same length of time to get into the weeds (pun intended) on these products. But there's no doubt we enjoy spreading the good word about our glorious BITURBO engineering. As for getting the tools to the US, let the US team know on Facebook and Instagram as it's user demand that drives the products to the countries 👍

The most important missing machine was not addressed: *Multibay parallel fast charger* is a must. Is there something new about that?

The GAL 18v 6-80 is a multibay fast charger but non parallel, due to the unavoidable fact that it divides the charging speed in half if its a dual... This would mean the charging speed would go down to 4 Amp charging speed and would (rougly) take 2 hours to fully charge a 8 amp ProCore battery. I think the current multibay charger is way smarter! Charge at full speed to 80% and then for a final run, fully charge at drip speed to avoid damages to the internal cells of the battery

@@A2BToby1987 True. I am not saying it is useless. For overnight charging of multiple batteries it is ideal. Problem is on site, if you are heavy user, especially with 2 or 3 machines on your job you will run out of juice. Not if but when. But if you take freshly charged battery you can grab another one in 30 minutes if it charged to 50% while the previous one was topped. Simplified example - take ProCore4, lets say lasts for 20min, charges for 40. With parallel charging you can work non stop with 3 batteries. With sequential you will have to wait 20 minutes between each swap after 1st 3 cycles. I am disregarding 80% nuances for the sake of argument. There is a reason why all manufacturers have parallel chargers. Cmon, even just 2 bays (3+3) parallel would be sort of good enough. It is just 2 transformers + ctrlers instead of one. If you are betting future of your empire on 18V, your chargers MUST be just TOP.

@Hidegety1 Fair question. And @A2BToby1987 answered it well. However, it's worth adding that as we are betting on the future of 18V, our charger IS the TOP. We would suggest combining the GAL 18V 6-80 with the GAL 18V-160 C. If we look at your 4Ah battery example, it can charge that to 80% in 25mins. But if you want runtime, the 12Ah will charge to 80% in only 36mins. Combine the world's fastest charger (it genuinely is) with a 6 Bay and you're set.

There is something neat, clean and professional (pun maybe intended) on carrying around just 1 device that does it all. I think even someone on your podcast (was it the 18v overview one?) said more or less the same thing. I was also wondering how elegant it would be if it had LBOXX format (not just snap on LBOXX). All things would nicely curve back around to itself, one supporting the other. Tiny piece of bosch multiverse...

Bosch for some reason starves the US market for many of their cordless tools. I have thousands of dollars worth of Bosch 18v and 12v tools here in the USA. I have had to buy into the Milwaukee line for many of my needs. Tools that I could have bought from Bosch if they would offer them here in the USA.

Great video and about to purchase the new Bosch GHE 18V-60 Hedge Trimmer, but it is sold as as a 'bare' unit from the local Screwfix. I am struggling to determine what battery and charger would be appropriate, mindful that the 'PRO Core' batteries and charger would push it beyond my budget. I was hoping the regular Bosch 18V 5Ah Li-Ion battery and Bosch GAL 1880 CV charger would be ok but I keep getting conflicting advice - even from Screwfix. At the 8:26 point of your video you do say that the trimmer is fully compatible with your entire range of 18V batteries which suggests my above suggestion is acceptable. So can you please give a clear, definitive response as to the required matching battery and charger. Thank you.

It will work on the regular 5ah batteries and such. Just that it won't give as much power as a procore battery can provide but it should be sufficient for home owner tasks.
