3:11 Response: I edit in FCPX, I use a base model silver late 2019 MacBook Pro. Sometimes the 500GB SSD gets full, I get mad and delete my FCPX Library. (Note: I do not have any external drives to use.) The 16GB of RAM is nice but sometimes Final Cut needs more. Also, I have SOOOO many plugins, but I always feel I need more. If you read all the way through, like this comment!

I usually use Premiere Pro (as I am on windows) but I have heard many amazing things about Final Cut. I also use After Effects for most of my Visual stuff, rather than Photoshop.

I had to edit with both Final Cut and Premiere in college-I understand why as a film student you need to be well versed in everything. But I haaaaaaaaaated Final Cut. It was just too wonky for me. I love the layout of Premiere much more-it's literally all right there for you.

That's actually how myself and a few of my friends use our MacMini's... they become our big iTune's Movie Library, and we use an 8TB G-Tech external drive to store all of the downloaded movie content... it becomes a giant "4K Jukebox" of movies.... all hidden in a white Ikea cabinet above the TV. But you also have the benefit of having a 70" MacMini and Web Browser... Bluetooth Keyboard and Trackpad while sitting on the couch, I highly recommend it...
