Beautiful apartment, Elle. I'm sorry if I missed the news, did you find a job in Seattle using your law degree? So excited for you! It will be interesting when offices open back up if Vancouver work style is more dressy than Seattle's. Like you, I also love mixing design styles. I love the collected look, especially with antiques and stained wood! IMO it makes homes look more special & personal, rather than designed by a professional from a checklist. I would love to see robe & makeup collection tours! I recently decided to add a couple special robes & pajama sets each season. I would definitely love recommendations. I look forward to you continuing ootd & fashion videos, because it reminds me to invest time in myself. Like many, I vote a squishy kitchen mat by the stove & sink to cushion your feet. I prefer something easily wiped down that can be swapped out for seasonal mats around the holidays. If you have a rug you'll spend a lot of time cleaning it before it's irreparably stained.

A kitchen rug probably would get dirty (at least all mine have) but something soft to stand on like those squishy (anti-fatigue) mats could help prevent leg pain and varicose veins from forming if you are at the sink or stovetop a lot. They generally match the color of the floor and can be wiped clean!

I really loved your last Vancouver apartment. It has a larger kitchen, more closet space in the bedroom, the balcony deck was so spacious and the living dinning seem to be more airy. Too bad you left. Does your mom still have her home in Vancouver?

Thanks for sharing. It’s cosy with a lovely view and comfy couch. The round table seems too bulky for the space and the chairs would work better if the table was painted white. If it was my client’s space, I would 1) use a smaller, rectangular table, perhaps in glass OR 2) remove the dining table entirely, get two bar stools, move storage unit to living area, and place the desk against the wall in the space behind the couch. I had to convert my own dining space into an office space in a previous apartment. Enjoy your new space.

Hard pass on the kitchen rug! I removed both the bathroom and kitchen ones in my house. They always made me feel like the space was dirty and I felt so much better when I removed it. I do have a bath mat of sorts but it only stays on the floor while Im in there showering or whatever. Beautiful space Elle!

People keep suggesting this, but Elle never really stays in one place all that long. If she had bought at any time in the past, she wouldn't be able to be in Seattle now. I think if you're ready to put down roots buying makes a lot of sense but she would have lost a lot of money buying and selling.

It’s the damier azur Girolata, which has inexplicably been discontinued - sad because it is such a great bag, perfect size with handles that tuck in and a bucket type silhouette that isn’t bulky
