Hi there 😋 Ordered a JCW 3 dr hatch a few weeks ago. Due for delivery end of May to mid June (apparently there is a shortage of computer chips due to the COVID-19 pandemic). Opted for Rebel Green with black roof and wing mirrors plus Chester tan leather interior with aluminium instead of piano black (collects the dust too much!). Can’t wait 😃 Btw I am in England and I’m a 74 years old lady.....

@@reality2457 why am I lying? ...if I wanted attention, trust me I’d go post on something like the new 911 GT3 and say the same thing. I paid my deposit yesterday (while on holiday). The full price for my spec is R725524 here in South Africa. Not that it matters but this will be my 3rd Mini - the very first one was a 2009 JCW and the last one was a 2016 Cooper S with software remap to 170kW. Will happily come back here once it arrives to share a walk around video :)

Thanks! The dynamic dampers are quite good. I have a 2019 JCW and live up a bumpy dirt road, as long as I put it in Green mode (softens suspension), It’s just fine. This new model has even a more advanced setup so you should be good there.

Hello everyone! Hey Ethan! I am looking to purchase a car next year and I was debating between Mazda3 turbo hatchback or Honda Civic Turbo 2022. But then I saw the Mini Cooper S 2022 and fell in love with it again 😍!!! I forgot about the Mini Cooper S, it was actually my dream car many years ago. My question is, is the new Mini Cooper reliable car in the long run? Will it last as long as the competitors (Honda Civic Turbo, Mazda3 Turbo)?? I know the debate that we all go through when finding a new car! These new MINIs are actually super reliable! I have owned 3 F series now, driving one to almost 200,000 KM with no issues whatsoever. The only thing to consider is, regular service and IF you need to prepare something the parts are more expensive.

I was told that the automatic transmissions now have the electric hand break where as the manual transmissions still have the manual hand break. Hope that helps!

As long as you get the automatic it is included. I don’t know anyone who has tested it, but it’s the same system as most BMWs so it should be decent.

The countryman had its own facelift for the 2021 model, I believe most of the interior upgrades you saw here where applied to the countryman then. The only difference is the steering wheel. Unfortunately, as of yet, there is not heated steering wheel for the Countryman or Clubman.

Can you check something please? When you switch drive modes (standard/green/sport) does the circle around the infotainment still light up? I just swapped a 2019 unit with touch/CarPlay into my 2017 JCW, complete with update to the brand new interface but there's no longer a "Drive Mode" option in the setting for ring light control. All the ambient lighting changes but the circle doesn't, and we (the person programming and I) don't know if we overlooked something in the programming, or if they just got rid of it. And it's a very "MINI thing" so I can't imagine they would have gotten rid of it. If you could get a picture of MINI > System Settings > Displays > Center Instrument > Basic Display that would be awesome. Closest dealer to me is 70 minutes away...

You can, almost... When I was putting together the spec for my JCW there was an option for a white silver colour that could be painted on the roof, body and mirrors however I dont think they let you use any other colour than red on the callipers. They probably would need to be painted after if you wanted that. Its a cool idea though!

If you live in Europe, they won’t do it because of the emissions stuff, you have to find an exhaust that gets around that. If your in North America and probably most other areas, find a different dealer as they can do it. I have seen pro exhausts on the GP3 as well as other newer MINIs.

As long as you don’t have the particulate filters that Europe gets, the pro exhaust will fit. You could also try Remus, I believe their exhaust system sounds quite good.

Oh my gosh, it took me forever to cover that beltline chrome on my new Clubman....why can't they make the trim in black for all the cars instead of just one? Hate the grill, but love the behind......black chrome tail pipe tips.....would be perfect finish. Oh and Nathan....only Canadians go off the road because they have cold steering wheels!

Wonder if they fixed the rough door seals rubbing off the door frame paint in less than 3 months they tell you it's an external source that caused it when your 2015 cooper S F56 is down to the bare metal and that external cause is actualy the very rough door seal rubber they fitted in the factory,happens on all F56 3 door cars like mine. I hate all that black plastic a mix of shiny and dull too,i got the full chilli and aero body kit on MCS F56 which i like but no no no to the JCW here it's FUGLY,looks like they copied the Honda Civic Type R and did a worse job than Honda turning cars into all plastic. And just no no no to that auto handbrake maybe thought it will solve the handbrake getting in the way of the armrest,this is why the Fiesta ST remains the drivers car in this segment and more affordable,i owned a 2015 1.6 ecoboost Fizzy for a year too. I have the manual box in my Mini,but think before you buy if you like a better upshift sound and the pops get the auto,if you get a manual you only get the pops when you take your foot off the gas and have the drive modes in the F56's like mine. So basically the auto has the most sound drama.
