Good vid ! As always 👌😊 Hey ! would it be a good idea , a vid on "How do you stock your skates and stuff" a sort of lifestyle thing video...🤔 can hang them... schelves... métal hockey style... etc... In my case ,have about 10 pairs of skates ... badly stocked in the garage.. a heap of protections their.. helmets here..box of wheels their..yet i'd love to see them nicely tid ! Im sure many people would love to see easy, stylish , practical way to order/tidy all 😀 As you Know many shops and inline skaters, it would be great to ask pictures all around, and make a video of the best with your editing, explaining ,talent!!😀 Sorry for my too french english 😁 Thumbs up if you want ricardo to see the idea !!

Thanks for the loads of work providing sleepless people like me (it's 4:25am) this awesome content. It needs a lot of passion to do stuff like that, especially at those late hours. First things first. I'm a sucker for Valo's. Started again after 20years and call me a proud Valo Hoarder/Collector. Starter in Januari this year and own 8 pairs of Valo's now. Just love the way they look and skate (especially the lights/carbon). Well, back to topic. In my opinion this skin looks a bit cheapish because the material-mix. To less variation, to big patches of material. The OG Valo's have more stitch-work which provides a more high end look imo. Next to that, they should upgrade the frames. The Valo Frames are exactly the same and people where complaining about the wait for more then a decade already. They simple can't compete with modern frames. They do their job tho. Now about the price. I think it's pretty expensive. For that price you easily had a Valo Light (carbon Shell) version back in the days. I hope Mr. Spass will earn a fair buck with the sales of these, he deserves it. I'd have loved to see the RL1 liners come with these skates... Should be a must at that price point. Toe-cutting? Deff an awesome thing when it comes to downsizing or if you cut it up extremely, even weight-reduction. All in All, old skate (lower costs, moulds excist already) different jacket. But to be honest, I don't only use Valo's because of the style-points, they still ride superb. Also got USD Carbons, Carbon Free's, Xsjado's etc but I skate my Valo's all day long 🔥...

Best skate for who likes m12 shell and would like to have a little wider soul, skinned skates not personally my first choice but I really like the design on this one, maybe my opinions will change

i love valos and roces and i believe this was roces way of saying "no we wont make a bigger soul plate cuz u can use the fifths"

It is the other way around: when collaborating with Jon Julio in the Valo project several things were proposed, but they were rejected cause they would need new moulds (and that is expensive). By using M12s with skin you can radically change the aspect of the skate from year to year, without getting new moulds, and Roces liked that. They only needed to make a new mold for a wider soulplate to accomodate for the extra width of the skin. After Valo died, a while after, Roces resurrected the 5th Element concept, made new moulds for the boot and designed them so they could used the existing mould of the old Valo soulplate (which is a good soulplate). That is also the reason why the 5th Elements is a such wide skate.

Right On!!! Thank you for the video. I am in search of new skates. Do these have a wider boot for a wider foot? I just got the USD Sway Team 57, but I can only skate them for about 10 minutes. They are too skinny for my foot.

They missed a trick by not toe cutting them I think. Would've been a fairly easy way to differentiate and improve on the bulky skinned Valo's and allowed for more comfortable downsizing. Like what Nihm/SSM did with the cult shell.

I agree. But some might like the toe still. Personally I down sized in some retro skinned razors (I'm a size 9) I found brand new in a size 6-7. I had to even cut the bridge to fit em... they felt AMAZING!! 10/10 would do again. The SSM was 3rd behind some st70 I had in high-school.

I just really wish there was a new shell under there. They have a skate for narrow feet and one for wide feet. Where is the normal width shell Roces!

The skin is cool, but like before to skate these I have to have the cons of an M12 with a bigger fifth element soul plate than I would need in fifths making the whole skate huge!

check my instagram story...they didn't felt extremely huge...even with shorts but yes, for sure bigger than m12s or fifths in my size (one size down)...but the toe cut will be a thing again.. ;)

anyone who hates on Roces for this skin stuff needs to get their heads out. name another company that has "been in the game" longer with active support of riders. I say this having never skated Roces 🤣 but did skate 2 pairs of Valos.
