I'm glad to have the original cockpit. Just stacking a screen at the dashboard is bad design IMHO.

Absolutely hideous ID8 system. Pseudo-improvement, cheap slap-on substitute for what used to be BMW craftsmanship, cutting corners to lower cost while sacrificing what an M car is supposed to deliver: visceral, dopamine-dumping driving pleasure. Shame, because the rest of the car is still amazing, but they ruined it with this cheap monstrosity of a tablet with a kickstand. I was so excited to finally afford an M3 after years of dreaming of one, but this is a sad deal-breaker.

The screens just look like a giant tablet tacked on. I don’t understand why they couldn’t have simply designed the dash so the screens are more integrated.
