Not exactly. In the canon Dusttale, Sans plans to reset when he wins but he is unable to in the 2023 animation and has to live in a timeline with no one else in it. Sans also believes that Phantom Papyrus is the real Papyrus in canon Dusttale despite him just being a hallucination but he seems to know Phantom Papyrus is a hallucination in the animation based on the lyrics about nothing being able to bring his brother back. So, it's different than the canon and different than the fangame. It's its own thing.

I like how the newer one is more canon as how everyone used to think it was chara doing genocide and how they were “evil” now it’s just the player instead which I think is cooler. (Also sans didn’t die at the end this time so yippie)

Isn't dust sans basicly unbeatable in the original version? Changing attack patterns, still dodging even if he can take a hit Hell, i think in the original version, you're only lv 1 On top of that, in the original version, if i recall correctly, even if you're about to kill him, he will just leave and try again later He also littered the whole underground with traps Its basically a version of sans desgined to make the player just give up That seems to have been lost in the fan version of the character

​@@chadboyle4107even with that the player is extremely inteligent + even with lvl 1 hes extremely powerfull. In most of the cases the player is not in lvl 1,and there os only one ending where sans wins, wich is the one that the player gets tired of playing with sans

​@@chadboyle4107 actually its not dusttale have three ending : Bad ending : player manage to kill sans and sans stuck loop of killing his friends Paranoiac ending : human promise sans to they dont do geno route again but sans doesnt believe human and becomes paranoiac Abondoned ending : sans manage to defeat human/player quit the game and sans Live alone in underground, he cant make reset so he hopes one day human return and get his soul to reset ( but sans doesnt know if he absord soul he still cant make reset)

There's a lot of different scenes but I love to see both at the same time bc you can actually see the improvement you have made. The new one looks really clean, the perspective and backgrounds are a lot better and the ending is completely different which seems like two outcomes of what could have happened.

Alternate ending: Sans realizes that he can just spawnkill the human so he puts a C4 near the save file and when the human saves they explode and this happens everytime the human respawns, thus making them quit and make murder the most determined being in the underground allowing him to reset

The biggest difference apart from the quality of the animation is that the outcome of the battle is the complete opposite. In the original, Sans dies but in the new version, he wins.
