NEW 2024 Lamborghini Urus Performante - Sound, Interior and Exterior

The new 2024 Lamborghini Urus Performante represents a potent evolution of the original Urus, with enhancements across power, suspension, steering, drive modes, interior, and exterior elements. Carbon fiber takes center stage in the Urus Performante's exterior, contributing to weight savings of over seven kilograms. The bonnet, arches, spoilers, and optionally, the roof, all boast this lightweight and robust material. Beyond aesthetics, these components aid in improved cooling for both the engine and brakes. Aerodynamic refinements, including a revised air curtain in the front bumper, longitudinal vents on the bonnet, and a tailgate spoiler, collectively result in an around 8% reduction in lift at top speed compared to the regular Urus. Under the hood, the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 has been meticulously tuned to unleash an impressive 666 metric horsepower, a bump up from the original Urus's 641 hp. The power increase primarily results from software adjustments, complemented by a new titanium exhaust system. One of the most significant changes involves the adoption of steel springs, replacing the standard Urus's air suspension. This modification, combined with recalibrated adaptive dampers, results in a 20mm lower stance and 16mm wider tracks for heightened agility. The rear-wheel steering has also been reprogrammed to deliver more responsive turn-in, enhancing the car's overall handling dynamics. Inside the Urus Performante, the ambiance is a celebration of Alcantara, adorning most surfaces with its tactile, anti-glare suede-like presence. Black trim dominates, with matte and anodized finishes, while carbon fiber is extensively used for various interior trim pieces, adding a touch of high-performance aesthetics. The familiar Strada, Sport, and Corsa modes have undergone recalibration to harmonize with the altered suspension. Additionally, a new Performante-specific mode, aptly named Rally mode, introduces a controlled level of wheelspin, stability control adjustments, and softer dampers to facilitate controlled slides on loose surfaces.
