Shaped by desire: Mercedes-Benz is continuing its long tradition of sporty, elegant dream cars with a new, independent series. The new CLE Coupé uses the conceptual and technical innovations of the C-Class and E-Class. With its expressive design, exclusive comfort equipment for maximum individuality and confident, sporty driving performance, the new two-door car goes its own way. The market launch of the CLE Coupé will start in Europe in November. The CLE Cabriolet will follow next year for open-air connoisseurs. With the new dream car series, Mercedes-Benz is fulfilling the wishes of many customers in the C-and E-Class segments.
Iconic design: Long wheelbase, a well-positioned and strongly inclined A-pillar, a short front and a slightly longer rear body overhang, as well as pronounced shoulders and large wheels. There has always been a special magic inherent in these proportions - and they are inextricably linked to the Mercedes-Benz brand.
The new CLE Coupé combines these sporty, elegant proportions with the modern design language of Mercedes-Benz. True to the Mercedes-Benz design philosophy of Sensual Purity, the result is a sculpture full of power and dynamism that embodies an emotional statement from every perspective.
Plenty of space: At 4,850 millimetres long, 1,860 millimetres wide and 1,428 millimetres high, the new twodoor is the largest coupé in the mid-size segment. With its dimensional concept - in particular the
25 millimetre longer wheelbase - the CLE Coupé offers significantly more space than the C-Class Coupé. The rear passengers in particular benefit from 10 millimetres more headroom, 19 millimetres more shoulder and elbow room and 72 millimetres more knee room. The trunk volume offers 60 litres more volume and can easily hold three golf bags.

I have the A 238, E220D, in less one year I have 60K Km. amazing car, strong and excellent quality, 5 to 6 liter for 100 km in highway...I hope this CLE diesel will be better!

About time they released global pricing and availability. Make pre-orders available. This is going to sell well. The last petrol only Mercedes. I wonder how that will affect re-sale value when the time comes to sell it as the likelihood of petrol cars being available then will be slim. I can't decide if it's masculine enough. The SL is now too expensive but it has a hard top. I want to know what the road noise is like with the soft top and if it has heated vents in the driver's seat. A night package and black wheels might just do it. If it's a twin turbo 6 under 70k it's a great value imo

I believe the plastic on the steering wheel is to prevent injury when the airbag opens up.

Also durability would be a factor. Easy to clean because people tend to spit and sneeze on this center part and after a few years, leather would need to be replaced.

Thank you Mr. Benz! I am true believer of having a great user interface in these luxury cars. Plastic steering wheels for a $70K car is not good. Are there options to upgratde the steering to leather? The new interior is almost very similar to the new 2024 SL Convertible. However, can anyone tell me if the new C-Class Cabriolet can actually fit 2 adults in the back seats comfortably? (The SL convertible I can only fit kids in back). I would like to see Mercedes make these cars for 4 people to fit comfortably.😎

Agree. But it might lose the 6 banger in favor of the 4 plus hybrid. It will be pretty awesome, though. I have the now-discontinued AMG S63 Cabrio, which is only 6 inches longer than this and it is a wonderful-sized grand tourer that gets zippy when you want it to. And, unlike the SL, it has seating for 4 like this model. We can fit two couples easily, with the larger males upfront, and wives in back. You could do a hell of a lot worse than driving this or the AMG version you are awaiting.

A few clients of our had Mercedes Benz and just kept having problem after problem, they got rid of the Merc’s and went for Audii & Maserati. They’ll never buy Mercedes ever again, too many problems, not to mention cheap materials for a premium price tag. Anyone else had similar issue? I personally have always liked Mercedes but I’m not a car enthusiast so I don’t know much except what others say from their experiences

It is costing Mercedes too much money to develop and manufacture a C Class Coupe, a C Class Cabriolet, an E Class Coupe and an E Class Cabriolet. Unfortunately, the market for coupe and cabriolet vehicles is significantly less than it used to be because more people are buying SUVs than ever before. Mercedes has axed the SLK, the CLS Coupe, and merged the C Class Coupe & Cabriolet and E Class Coupe & Cabriolet into the CLE Coupe and Cabriolet to cut costs. I hope cars like the CLE Coupe and Cabriolet will still be made in the future because it will be a very boring world if everyone is driving SUVs and there are no fun coupe and cabriolet cars around.

The dash display is ugly on the Cabriolet. The sedan has a beautiful dash setup and should have been used for the Cabriolet. I’ll keep my E450 Cabriolet. It’s my 6th new one in 12-13 yrs.. looks like it’ll be my last Mercedes.

The cockpit is full of incompatible elements. Each element has an ambitious design. I don't like Mercedes' steering wheel designs anyway. And those huge logos don't look elegant at all. The old Mercedes stars are more original. That tablet screen in the centre looks like an imitation of Tesla. I don't like the seats either.

The video was good, but the car has obvious shortcomings. It's an E outside with a C interior. I'd be willing to bet the center AC air vents don't direct the air to your torso (the center screen has to block the airflow), Just like my 450E. $90K and I have to place cardboard above the vents to direct the air. I'm so over Benz and their overpriced crap!
