I also agree. Norman Rockwell was the first artist I thought of when I saw those plates.

I think those plates you were wondering about are Norman Rockwell plates. I always loved his work. That cabin plate was gorgeous. So glad you got that. I too am just using what I have. I bought just a couple of small items at Hobby Lobby.

Isn’t that funny how plates are all the rage now? Michael’s has some plate frames, stands and wall holders. I’m obsessed with adding green now atm! Thrift store shopping is my favorite.

Love the plate you purchased very fallish The brown and white dishes you saw are transfer ware my mom had a set similar to that style and they are made by Johnston and Johnston brothers if it the same Thank you taking us along it was awesome. Oh those brown bottles! I am always on the hunt for little bottles like that! I get overwhelmed sometimes at the thrift store too, depends on my mood, some days I just walk out. LOL I think I agree with you about the burnt orange, it's my favorite too. Rust color actually which is probably the same, love the warm undertones of fall. That plate is gorgeous and the candlesticks are really nice too.

The plates in the wood frames are Normal Rockwell designs - his illustrations graced the cover of many Life Magazines over the years. You'll be familiar with his Rosie the Riveter cover during WWII. This is likely why they look familiar to you.

Loved getting to go shopping with you! As soon as you picked up that first plate, I said to Trey oh that’s Thomas Kincaid And then when you picked up those plates with wood rims Trey said that’s Norman Rockwell! He definitely has a recognize able style and we’ve always loved his prints! Glad you found some things you like and hope you have a great week!

Would love to thrift at Value Village! The selection and amount would not intimidate me at all!!!!! I love the thrill of the hunt. The lone little ramekin woukd be so nice with a small baked fall dip on a wooden cutting board! The color was perfect. Also would have gotten the bag of fall bowl filler at 4:51.. the colors were gorgeous!!!!! My fall colors are a combination of moss, burnt orange, amber and merlot. I actually just put fall colored books on my thrift list. I want brown, taupe, burgundy and orange . I am going to tie them with a fall velvet ribbon with a real dried fall leaf for my coffee table , with a glowing amber jar candle.

I taught school for 30 years and had that old style school room picture in my classroom! You mentioned that you were at the cottage, we visit our friends in Canada every year at their cottage at Skootamata Lake. I understand that it’s a common way for Canadians to spend vacation time. Hello Rebekah!! I love going thrifting with you!!! I saw several things I would have picked up!! The 2 tea pots were so pretty and those dishes were beautiful!! The plate you got is perfect for fall. I liked the wheat one too. The wood framed prints looked like Norman Rockwell!! I loved those too!!! Such a good deal on the black candle holders!!! Little Holstein is such a sweet cutie!!! A nice little haul...a nod to Fall for sure. I love the colors of fall. The crimson reds the burnt orange. They are all so pretty its very hard to just say one. I cant wait to see how you decorate. I have that exact green bowl that I received for my wedding shower…54 years ago,lol Those goldish vases could have just been sprayed with a matte clear coat to take down the shine. They were really pretty. Also, dont pass up wicker baskets you like..its a simple fix by using a Dark wax or paint with watered down paint and wipe off to get the color you want.

The plates with the wood frames are by Norman Rockwell and you can see his name in the bottom corner on one. His prints were often seen in doctor's offices because one of his prints is a doctor giving a shot to a little boy. I've always loved his work.

If you dont mind a really EASY diy, you can get a sample can of a dark stain and stain any of the light colored wicker baskets you like.

Short and sweet video! My thrift stores are never that good. I love to decorate with burnt orange, soft plum and sage green, my absolute fav combination. Velvet and glass pumpkins are so elegant. I really miss Pier 1 for fall decor. 🙋🏼‍♀️🇨🇦🥰

Lovely shop along and haul. Your pricey book by well known author Kipling may be the 1930 edition and worth 40-50 dollars! You can't retire on it but nice to have. Loved the brownstone bowls in the shop a long. My honey is ok with what I get also. I love your word intentional!!! I'm trying to be that way too with decor. 🤗

Hi Rebekah, thank you for another wonderful video! I just wanted to let you know that plate that you bought of the lake scene is painted by “Thomas Kincaid” he is known as “The Painter of Light” his paintings are usually very very expensive so I think you got a wonderful deal on that plate for $3.99.. if you’ve never heard of him before look him up..his Artwork is absolutely gorgeous!!
