Hers my thoughts... Test drive complete. Summary - not enough has changed or been improved to change from my 2.0 orange edition and the price of £39700 gives me a 1.8 excel which doesn't have dynamic lights or a heated steering wheel. The dealer didn't really know anything about it! It was a 1.8 dynamic but was told pre demo it was a 2.0! For a 1.8 was surprised at how much better performance than the previous 1.8. Fuel economy didn't seem amazingly different. However any of the 2.0 puts you straight into high tax rate £580 per year! Boot space is much better than my orange edition. Didn't like the touch screen. Prefer tactile buttons. I'll lose a wedge against mine as it's on pcp. No deals as new car. 4.9% Apr really finished it off. It's a no from me. Possibly would be interested in a 6 to 12 month old premier edition next year. But I'm certainly not paying such a high price (£45k) and losing new car vat for a new one. I can't make the costs and losses work. That's 6 month old luxury car territory. BTW the door handles didn't bother me.
