Thanks for the video, i guess i'll keep waiting until the perfect one with the cellular capabilities and adjustable air vent to be available before I jump in. Waste too much money on the various front screens and none of them are perfect still, although the most recent one with the camera is slowly getting there.

FYI TO ALL, the HOLIDAY UPDATE will BREAK the sync of the HEATED SEATS CONTROL in this display with the main display. What I mean is, the rear display will still work and turn on the heated seats, BUT if you go on the main display and go to the rear HVAC controls it will show all the seats (no matter which you turned on from the rear display) as ALL OFF. AND THEN, if you then touch one of the rear seat heat FROM THE MAIN DISPLAY, it will override whatever you had on in the rear, and change to what you selected on the main screen. But what you do from the MAIN SCREEN, will sync properly in the rear. BUT AGAIN, NO LONGER VICE VERSA, the rear WONT SYNC with the front screen status. This both worked properly BEFORE THE HOLIDAY UPDATE. So the rear display manufacturer must do a software/firmware update to theirs. It still works, but now feels sloppy to not sync up properly.

@@MrBenj0219 The holiday update is more important than this 3rd party device. So update. The only thing the update breaks on this unit is what was mentioned. Whatever you turn on in the rear screen, will not match with the main screen, but the function still works.

This issue is still there for me (wifi version). For me also the temperature setting is not syncing (the same issue; someone can change the temperature from the back seat and it will change the temperature in the car but the main display will not show this temperature (change)). I contacted the seller (despite the promise for OTA I understood there are none) and received an update file from the seller which I installed from USB drive; this update file did however not resolve any of the sync issues.

@@moialder252 It did not resolve anything. Then the seller stated that 'this is how it should work' and later he informed me that he 'escalated' it to the supplier and when an update will be available he would share it with me. He refuses however to confirm that these bugs will be resolved.

I fail to see how a 1280x800 LCD is 4K (unless they're referring to the video processing, as it looks very zippy!), but that knit pick aside, I like the lower down placement of the screen, while giving respectable airflow. Do you know if these displays are powerful enough in the specs to play video games (nothing crazy, I'm thinking Android games, and emulated NES, MAME, SNES, GBA etc.) with a Bluetooth gamepad? The reason I ask is because I'm an Uber driver, and I'd love to be able to offer my riders the opportunity to play a complimentary video game for long trips. That's about the only way I could justify the purchase TBH, of course giving my riders the ability to control their own comfort settings is great, but games with wireless controllers, would put it over the top.

I just been in a model Y with this screen. But theirs had BUILT IN SPEAKER IN THE UNIT! And its not a different unit, the markings, software, etc etc all the same! So there is a version that has built in speaker. Making it the best to date. It's everything you reviewed with built in speaker. There are cons though, the launcher and tesla control/main screen does look nice and match, but after you get passed that, you could see how unrefined it is. But if all one cars about is controlling of the hvac and the passenger seats, then its nice. But after that, there is no auto off on the screen. They should add that feature, although there is a power button to turn off the screen or just make it black. Time adjustment is interesting, no daylight saving? Android setting you can search for display and enable auto turn off screen after interval minutes BUT once it goes off you cant make it turn back on, because it requires a physical button press which this doesnt have. If only it had double tap screen to wake. Only way would be to restart the car (get out then in) but after that, you cant change the setting back because it was adjusted from the factory to be null and not turn off but once a setting is selected no way to keep it on again except factory reset. This is why it leads me to believe that "power" button that "turns off" the screen in the gui just makes the screen go black? The build quality though is very top notch and high quality. The wiring, wiring loom, harnesses, the finish, etc is high quality.

Yes, it is a good practice to turn off the car from the main screen but you don't have to shut off the 12V or the high voltage battery.

Does this have a demo video of chinese carving turkey in the video app? If so then yea its the same but there are versions with built in speaker and everything the same. Speaker is surprisingly clear too. There was some bug where everytime the unit restarted or turned on, it would open the video player and play that video. I had to disable and do some things in the android settings and it stopped? Was definitely weird.

This product is made by an OEM and rebranded or advertised as a company's own, as this review does on where it was sourced. With that said, even the one I saw in person--not from the company in this review, but it was identical but had built in speakers, also had KZbin issue not playing. BUT if you use the built in browser and went to youtube it worked. So its the app or bugs

Just installed this in my 2023 Model Y LR. Here are some things I wanted to point out. 1) As mentioned in previous comments, Disney Plus does not work. Tried to reinstall from the Google Play store, but it just has “Will not work on your device” message. Same with Hulu. 2) There is bluetooth audio lag. Seems to be a common issue for rear screens. Anybody know a fix? 3) Older Model Ys have a space at the bottom to stuff the connector in. 2023 Model Y does not have this space, so it’s difficult to put the lower cover panel back on

Did your youtube app work out of the box? Did you do the holiday update? If so, can you confirm the bug where if you turn on heated seats from the rear screen, the main display WILL NOT show them to be on (anymore since the update). However, if you turn them on from mainscreen, it will show up properly on rear screen. This bug does not effect functionality of the rear screen being able to turn on/off the seat heaters. It just now sloppy execution that main display wont show it. 2) reason why this is the best version of these displays as its almost encouraged for rear passengers using this to connect it to wireless headphone because of the delay if connected to car which has not been solved after how many versions. You also might be lucky and your unit came with built in speaker. 3) its tight but it fits and lower panel can still be put on fine. It has plenty of clips to prevent popping open and/or bulging. just do your best to fit it in there and push cover on.

Holiday update was installed before I installed the rear screen, but I can confirm the heated seats display bug as you described. I told Tsportline about the audio lag. They are sending me a warranty replacement. We’ll see if that fixes the issue.

You gotta hot spot to your phone. You gotta remember, all you've essentially done is install an android tablet into your car. It just so happens to be able to control a very select few functions in the car. Beyond that, it's just an agnostic android tablet and should be treated as such.

I have a similair question....when someone is sittingo n the back and controlling the speed of vents, is this affecting only back it is one system that controls only both at the same time. My issue with my model y is, that in very hot wheather, I want to set max air flow on the front, but set it to low on the back, when my kids are sitting. As far as I know, nothing like this exists today, and as simple solution as controlling the air flow with manual shutters would do the job. I tried to explain this to the company producing those units, but they seemed to be not getting the issue or concept. Does anyone of you experienced the same with rear passangers ?

Unfortunately, Disney+ does not work.... when opening the app, it asked that the app need to be updated. Then it opens Google Play, and it says that your device is not compatible.

Sorry to hear that. Disney+ is tricky. The one they loaded on mine worked flawlessly. The workaround is to lookup Disney+ APK in google, download the files, load on a flash drive and install on your display. You can also reach out to T-sportline and they can help you get a stable version. Thank you.

I've seen one, EXACTLY LIKE REVIEWED, but did have a built in speaker. Speaker sounded pretty good too. This review and others never mentioned it, so maybe they got castrated versions without it, but the car Ive seen this in was the EXACTLY same as those reviewed online.

this product is made by an OEM and distributed to companies who claim it as their own as this reviewer got it from whoever and another youtuber got it from someone, but they are all the same. With that said, if you are confident enough on your knowledge of the product, you can bypass those middle companies, and I've seen these as low as $175 new shipped. It definitely adds another level of WOW and whats $200 for those paying $50K+ for their cars. It adds some functionality and useful bonus features for rear passengers without always having to remember to bring the tablet.

Unfortunately you have to toggle between two headphones and output only goes to one. You can however buy a wired headphone splitter and have multiple headphones. Not as ideal has having two wireless ones though.
