Another option when doing the data transfer is to get an external enclosure/dock for the old drive and then you can do an external M.2 to internal M.2 transfer. I was able to plug in my old M.2 drive into one, but due to the M.2's heatsink I had to leave the enclosure open while I did the transfer, but it worked.

i bought this and amazon screwed my order up and sent me the one with out the heatsink.. so I bought my own heatsink for it and fits perfect inside my ps5. works great. a lot of space. I think I paid like $190 on sale

I've had a 4TB SSD in my PS5 for months. It's great to never have to worry about having enough space to install a game.

Did this months ago, rocking 8TB total of storage 1x 4TB M.2 and a 4TB Samsung T7 portable SSD attached to the rear. This is plenty of storage for me.

Don't lie 8 tb for what 💀?
@exilion14 ай бұрын
Thanks for this. My boy is already interested. The 8 TB seems like it would be able to save even more games. Kind of curious about pricing on the 4 (& the 8 also if there is a value proposition to having more TB? Maybe the value proposition is better visited in the next video installment (or when the birdie releases it? We’re just looking forward to the next new video games and we will stay tuned. Take care.

theres a video of some guy who bought a 8TB ssd for his ps5, went to the library and nearly has every ps5 game for free, all from checking out at the library lol. youtube it.

Maybe don't get one. I started getting stick drift after a few months and I barely play that much.

I wish it was that easy to fix the controller. I've replaced both sensors for the left stick and already need to replace them for the right side. I got stick drift within a few months with my ps5 whereas my PS3 controllers were beasts, all I had to do was replace the batteries.

@dtjrealmc29 күн бұрын

4tb nvme drives aren’t exactly new. They’re actually a better bang for the buck than 2tb.

I bought an SSD for my PS5 but I'm finding it difficult to remove the cover to access the drive slot. I don't know if I'm doing it wrong or I'm just weak.

Buying a console in 2024 has to be the dumbest thing ever. And buying Sony with their scam hard drive crap is just insane.
