Lipsticks can look different on you because your undertone and skin color may be different! Just to give you an idea to compare your skin to mine:
- I am very fair and actually haven't​ found my perfect shade yet
- I have very pink/red undertones in my skin
- I wear the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer in Fair
- I am currently using the CYO foundation in 101 (but its still a little too dark)

I read that the law states that it only needs to be animal tested if it's being imported from another country into china and that's why they manufacture in china for the products they sell there. Dk the validity of this but just saying.

The first color was literally made for your skin tone though! It’s a perfect nude shade for fair skin. The second is more for light-medium skin.

Love this formula sm! Since I’m kinda tan the shade Cedar Later is my absolute favorite mauve-nude. How do you somehow make all these shades look good btw lol. They all look great on you! You just proved that you can get a precise line with most of them without lipliner! Many others say they all need liners. Just clip the hairs on the applicator. Would it make sense to top their original matte formula w the new shine?

I do think a lip liner will help with the darker colors (especially the darkest - devils advocate). But for most I dont think you need it. I havent tried mixing the formula but I dont think it would work (could be wrong though!!) I just think that because this gloss is a thicker one it may not mix well with a matte formula. But might be worth a shot!! Ill have to try it out.

Caitlyn Ann cool. Would you consider doing a side by side of the similar matte shades ? Primarily made for mocha and toffee talk seem very close to cedar later and mauve over in shine formula.

Awesome swatch video! I always wonder about the reality of lip swatches....it must do a number on your lips! Thank you for doing all the "dirty work" for us. haha. I am very tempted to try one out in one of my own videos soon...if I ever get brave enough. ;)

Thank you Ruby! The reality of lip swatch videos is: A lot of coconut oil for removing the lipsticks. A lot of reapplying foundation to try and hide any staining. And usually, my lips hurt after for about a day lol. This one wasn't as bad because there was only 13 and they were glosses. I have done a 45 shade lip swatch video and they were matte. now THAT was painful LOL. Thanks for watching! you should definitely do a video on them :) What better time than now!

I have very pink undertones! The hard part with lip swatches is that they really can look different depending on your skin tone & undertones. I do think a lot of the colors are very flattering overall!! I hope my video helped a little!

Pennylynn19 lol you’re welcome! It honestly wasn’t that bad in this video. Usually matte colors are the WORST haha my lips are sore for a day after. One of the biggest lip swatches I did was a NYX matte lipstick and there were like 42 colors, that was painful to say the least LOL

Peach Stole My Look I think looks best on you for daytime/office lighting--it comes across as a pinky toned peach on camera. I need to avoid the clash on my own very light but ruddy face, because too much orange or copper does not work at all. I have a collection of orange-y undertoned eyeshadows that sit unused and will be junked soon. Work with your pink tone not against it, and think of the time and money you save on blush !

Thank you, I’m so glad you like them! Yes, I would say that send nudes is more warm tone and has brown in it. I am also fair with pink undertones and it’s my favorite color! Depends on what other makeup you wear with it. If you’re wearing more cool tones on your cheeks and eyes then it might look weird but if you have warmer tones it looks great!!

Do you find it a little difficult to apply these? I love them and maybe I'm doing something wrong but it feels like I'm rubbing quick drying glue to my lips and it won't give any. Also, I have to dip the applicator back in the tube 1000 times to get it where I want. I'm OBSESSED with the result but getting there is definitely a journey! Anyone else? Please tell me I'm not crazy! Haha.

For me, I haven't noticed really hard application - but I get what you mean. As I mentioned the formula has a weight to it which may be what's causing you problems. Some people may prefer a lighter weight gloss. I don't mind it because the finish is amazing & it makes it last longer. I totally get where you are coming from, you aren't crazy! It just may not be the formula for you!!

Please list and mention your skin tone shade in various formulas of foundation at the beginning of the video - preferably with MAC's system, as well, since so many seem to be familiar with it. Yes, we see you and could maybe guess at your skin tone, but I often find those guesses to be quite inaccurate. Colors can vary so widely in appearance based on the skin tone they're set against, it's almost impossible to truly judge which ones would suit us without that information.

That is a great idea! I will update the description box. I can't do the MAC foundation one because I only buy CF makeup but I will list the foundations that I do use. My skin is SO fair and I haven't found one shade that perfectly matches me so I never thought to do this. I can put my closest shades though.
