when we haven't had quicksilver sash and olaf yet , glacial was super annoying especially in set 1.With anivia and sejuani you could do nothing but watching your team perma stunt to death. And btw how do you counter crystal ?? It seems to me even ap comps have problem dealing with them

I am at Silver IV right now and I tried yesterday a Glacial comp (couldn't get any spat or glacial Lux tho). I could get to the TOP3, but the other comps were just better... Can't wait to try this one.

As an avid glacial player myself I hate this change. Half the synergies in the game already deal damage, we don't need another one. Meanwhile, glacial is the only synergy to provide crowd control, and they're removing a significant chunk of that. Glacial was never strong to begin with. Its just abused by Olaf. But rather than balancing the champion around the synergy, Riot has balanced the synergy around him. Similar to how they did with Zed and Ionian Spark. Poor decisions by Riot (including Quicksilver buffs, and they told they don't want hard counters in the game) has led the synergy ending up in the state it is. The fun in glacial is turning the enemy into popsicles, to leave them helplessly frozen as they have a slow and painful death, not some lame on-hit damage. A much better approach would be let spells proc glacial. The only glacial unit that would benefit directly from it is Lux, which is already difficult to get on its own, but this could lead to great interactions between some champions and a frozen mallet, such as Mundo or Singed. Glacial Singed freezing everyone sounds broken? Well, maybe because that's a 5 cost unit with a spatula item. Its a powerful interaction, but its not something one can pull off consistently. I like to look at things on the bright side though, and this may be the come back of super Braum, who never recovered from the removal of Thornmail. Glacial allows him to once more actually deal damage. Add that to Bramble Vest and DClaw for tankyness and Titan's Resolve to let bramble vest and glacial procs to scale, and a glacial warden comp with hyper carry Braum may pop up. I dropped TFT after the patch that removed Thornmail and overbuffed Quicksilver almost entirely, as my 2 favorite comps, warden/mystic and 6 glacial, got gutted off existence. All around this is a buff, because glacials have lots of rangers and berserkers, who benefit from on-hits. But the identity is gone.

yea, its true "the identity is gone". i have some brainstorming ideas too with glacial. How about they add one 5cost glacial unit and made the synergy to 3/6/9? And adjust the stun chance and duration. So the synergy is Weaker on Berserkers Glacial, but Stronger at full glacial and 6 Zerkers 6 Glacial. Cause i think the relation between Glacial and Berserkers shoul be like 6Mage - 6Ocean or 6Inferno - 6Shadow. What do you think about this bro?

Nah, I don't think adding more units is necessary. And it won't happen even because Set 2 is about to end and Riot already anounced no new releases are coming. Even if they added a new glacial unit, you'd still need at least one frozen mallet and glacial Lux or 3 frozen mallets and level 9 to make it work. This is far too unrealistic to consider. Nothing too complicated is necessary. Just gut the shit out of Olaf and revert glacial back to what it was at set 2's release. Or allow abilities to also proc glacial. Ionic Spark also suffered for Riot not wanting to touch Zed's abusive interaction with it. An entire item gone because of one champion.

This is actually a pretty big zerks buff if there aren't other changes to them. Olaf just gets extra free damage in an aoe along with the stun

I think 6 glacial will continue to be bad. But electric/poison with 4 glacial can be good. This is a buff for berserkers. Always this comp use 2 glacial. 6 berserkers and 4 glacial will be a decent variation. Maybe predators/glacial can be good too.

Liking the Glacial buff, not only it allows for stronger gameplay, but it also prevents the "Standing there watching your units get frozen and just stand there waiting to die". It is looking good. Are ther eany other buffs to underplayed comps? What would your feel on the next patch be?

If you do no damage your opponent's frontline will tank all your cc while carries just gonna wipe your whole board. Lets be honest glacials don't have any carries yet(Well you can try to do Ezreal 3 with archangel's and deathcap but it's quite hard to force).

@@MotivationExceeds It's like what Redox said, Glacial's champ pool just sucks. Braum is just bad, Warwick is better used in predator comps, and Olaf honestly isn't that useful outside of 6 beserkers. Ezreal is meh unless you set him up with an archangels and some other items, and Volibear is honestly the only really good unit of glacials, but again is better used in beserker comps and electric comps, or you can now make him a carry with that rapid fire crit bite build going around.
