This bike is going to be a game changer- seems like the biggest drawback for other new bikes is that Surron has such a huge aftermarket advantage. But if Surron parts fit on this, seems like such a sick 72v option right out of the box!!

I know!!! Utah or AZ is the dream. We will move or open another location possibly in the future. It’s tough where we are at, if you look at our IG content it’s all our own actual context, we are literally dedicated to riding haha we do so many turn and burn trips drive up to a race at 5 am, race, then drive back home later at night.

@Bengy22 Жыл бұрын
Why did they go with the bad cells in the battery. Just like Talaria they use the m50lt which are only rated for 7.2a discharge above 25c (so basically all the time) and push them 2x that rating stock, meaning no room for improvements power wise. I would say this is even worse than the Talaria because the main appeal is the 72v, but you can't push any more power without upgrading it, meaning you would have to buy a aftermarket 72v battery anyway so no different. I'm curious if the Eride's decided to use good cells or do the same
@gritshift Жыл бұрын
What cells would you say are reasonable for them to use?
@Bengy22 Жыл бұрын
@@gritshift Hard to say for sure as I don't know the max amperage of the controller but I can guess. 8kw / 84v (full charge) would be 95A of discharge, or 13.5A per cell. In my opinion they should use a cell that's rated for that or even higher. Means less cell heat, better cell life, more capacity, less dangerous and room for upgrades on the end user. At the end of the day the biggest selling point is the 72v battery on this bike, but will need to be upgraded if you want more power anyway just like the 60v competition so why go with it in the first place

How do you compare this to the new E-Ride Pro 72v bike that Surronster did a video about yesterday
@gritshift Жыл бұрын
It would be unfair to compare that bike to anything we have. The pro ss looks great, but there are so many little things that are different on it that could completely change the ergonomics of the bike. For example the rear suspension linkage setup is completely different. Might be better might be worse, also that alone being that it’s different is it stronger or weaker. Also the frame design looks nice but is it actually stronger. I’d love to get our hands on one to actually test. Sur ronster did a great job on his review video but I think someone needs to push the bike hard to see how it does.
@anthonycurtiskeller Жыл бұрын
@@gritshift I love how so many companies are making better versions, forces surron to get better. The biggest argument against these new bikes will always be lack of aftermarket support for the first couple years after coming out. Because let’s face it no matter how awesome the bike is out of the box people will always want to upgrade them.
@gritshift Жыл бұрын
Yeah exactly!! And I think sur ron nailed it with the ultra. Let’s see what they do about the lightbee next. And yes this bike seems to have a lot of similarities to other bikes which is why we had interest, because I know I don’t want to wait for aftermarket support

I’d love to work with Sur Ron, I’ve tried for the past two years. They will not support us because of the parts that we make for there bikes. Also sur ron will not change there design to make it better. 79 bike seems to be willing to offer there bikes with more power, better brakes, and better wheels, so why wouldn’t we help bring something potentially better to the market.

Then you plugged it back in while the breaker was on noticed the click noise that’s the metals slowly bonding together, eventually with enough times of doing that it can weld solid
@gritshift Жыл бұрын
Actually unpluging and pluging back in, in such a short interval with no voltage increase is not a problem, because the system still has stored power in it (Controller Capacitors). Also the click noise was overlapping audio from the main clip when I edited the video.
