New 8” flaps and semi-automated range calibration update

Over the past few years, we have gradually improved our flap panels based on your feedback. Recently, we released two new categories of larger flaps, which can even fit on 8” reflectors, like the Newton Skywatcher.
However, the larger format presents some additional challenges. For example, when opening and closing the flap in positions where gravity works against the servo motor, the larger and heavier flaps may struggle to reach the optimal end position. To address this, we have developed solutions and prepared a firmware update that allows you to easily configure the servo motor end positions of your flap, which will then be saved for future use.

I am having some difficulty finding these larger sizes on your store since you have them organized by OTA, none of the TS-Optics ones listed are similar to the "TS-Optics 8" f/5 UNC Newtonian" I have. Is there a way to filter by size only? I'm not finding it.

@@KurtVW can you measure outer diameter of the front of the tube? And we can add it in the shop

@@DeepSkyDad I don't have a caliper that can go that big... But I come up with 238mm outside diameter of the metal ring on the front of the tube. And the outside of the carbon tube is about 233.
