Red Hook updated the act 3 boss given its complicated gimick prior to this. The first phase seems straightforward (though I'm unsure if it's possible to get rid of the orange tokens?). 2nd phase smacked a lot but as you see, our Man at Arms with the clutch 3 RESOLUTE CHECKS FOR THE WIN!

It's not harder. It's just that everyone's so used to the old gimmick now and when Red Hook completely removed it, everyone had to relearn the boss all of a sudden. Also limerence does less damage now at least.

Don't try to blind him bro, his attacks ignore blind(you can press ALT on any enemy and see its moves). Just focus on damage and you'll be fine

I'm almost certain that you have a higher resolute chance for each dead hero. Every time I've been reduced to a single hero they Resolute at 10 stress.

On one hand, I'm glad they changed the boss in this manner, it feels like it has a clearer solution and less punishing mechanics. On the other . . . _well it's still punishing as hell and is a bit of a curveball to those of us who suffered through its first iteration_

Yep we basically cant apply the same strat as version 1. It is a more straightforward change though an alternative approach is necessary (e.g. MaA not an ideal party member as you cant have too many positive buffs)

I can't make heads nor tails of this boss. Before the rework it had a unique thing, that was not the best, sure, but now I have no idea whatsoever. He just cleaves the whole team, I got no clue how to focus the seen tokens on to one person, and even if you kill the small eyes the seen token stays. So what, you cannot make a single mistake? Before you could kill the eyes and they would remove the tokens from your heroes, I am beyond confused 😂

Im thinking you have to rush through the first phase without prolonging it but the eye speed's pretty insane. Also MaA defo isnt the best option for phase 2 since the eye copies the tokens it focuses on. I had this lineup ready for the original version of the boss but had 0 clue that its gimick changed completely.

Its Seen tokens can be pulled by Taunt, so you can use that to keep the nuke at bay. Said move also does less damage at least.

i fought this new version yesterday with my 20 speed poet leper, i legit dont how ur supposed to beat this boss consistantly other than to stack poultices and taunt. without the taunt, the targeting seems to be complitely random😅

I also figured the targeting seemed random and there's 0 way to get rid of the tokens. I'm thinking phase 1 is a race towards minimising eye tokens. Prolonging it = more tokens = harder-hitting Limerence

@@Yanley watching other people play it, i think the dot on the eyes early on is the way to go. i think pd, flag, runaway and hellion could be a good comp. quess i better test it out , before redhook decides it's time to rework the fight again😅
