Jessica from The Waldock Way purchases playdough kits from at etsy seller based on themes they are working on. I thought that was a brilliant idea! Easy enough to make on your own. It might be a fun substitute for an activity kit. Just provide a little tray, like the one from the dollar tree, playdough and some trinkets.

thank you for sharing! I got a game called SHAPE MAKERS (magnetic foam tangram puzzles) from Target. There are 7 pieces magnetic shape puzzle and 48 challenge cards. My daughter is almost 7 years old. She has so mach fun with that. I also made some DIY challenge cards for her .

Hi!! So we just have one bag that we use for church. My older boy is 11 and we just have markers and blank pages because the church provides a pamphlet for the kiddos that makes the sermon interactive for them. My youngest is 3 1/2 he has a wipe off marker book, an activity book that uses stickers, blank pages and markers and crayons in one of those cool little dollar tree containers.

Okay, I have a serious question.....i always watch and love your ideas and was able to catch up on your recent videos. I put a kit together for my 4 year old and 2 year old using a similar container I found at dollar tree for church and maybe I'm not doing it right but they either get bored easily or my 4 year old ask 10,000 questions. I have for him, a few legos, a small puzzle, drawing pencil and lined paper notepad, some crayons. For my 2 year old I have a week and find book (baby einstein) because she loves the colors of their animation, stickers, a couple coloring sheets and that's about it. She won't stay in the nursery so I'd like to find some things she will find engaging The water works is good for my oldest likes but is so rough on the pages and pen I just remembered that for my 4 year old we are working on review of letter recognition so I took one of the papers and used yard sale sticker tags and wrote the ABC's randomly and he had to seek and find the stickers that had the same and matched. He did well with that but it was so fast . Our church service is only about a hour long Help 😭

I think you are doing it right! Younger kids have shorter attention spans and sometimes need more guidance. Hang in there, they will get the hang of it and the expectations the more you do things like this. Every child is different too, so their responses are going to be different as well.
