having your music play while an ice cream truck is parked outside with its music going when its a) night and b) below freezing tonight is quite the interesting mash up. dj's take note of this emotional rollercoaster.

Great scaping, iwagumi is the best. Which soil is that? ADA Amazonia Aquasoil V2?

Thank you! There is a mix of different leftover soils that I was trying to get through. In the future, I’ll be using ADA Amazonia V2 and Powersand!

Cheers from my fish room channel in Chicago, where I am a subscriber to yours. You're right: that stone is very dramatic! BTW, I had a bad experience with my Archaea regulator as it was impossible to calibrate the bubbles. I'm sure I had a lemon.

I have found the old ones to be a bit trickier than usual, although the new ones are much improved!I’ve found that opening it quite a bit and then slowly lowering it to the desired amount has been the easiest way for me to calibrate it.

@@anemone_aquascaping thank you for the tip. good advise for any regulator actually. I now run all UNS Regulators and find them to be impeccable.

I think people try to fix it very quickly and sometimes don’t realize that it takes time for the bubble count to update when you make adjustments! This is especially true with older models of regulators! These days, regulators are of much better quality now and are more easily adjustable :)

Beautiful, aquarium. I really want to set up a 90p iwagumi. Did you order the bigger rock from aquaforest or do you have a local aquarium store that sells rocks? Where I live I don't have any aquascaping stores and it is hard for me to get nice rocks. I always have to gamble when I order online.

All of the stones were from AFA! I do tend to over purchase to get a good assortment. I never buy for the particular scape but just for the personal collection, since I’ll reuse them for years :) AFA is great with requests if you need particular sizes or assortments. I too feel like I’m gambling when I get hardscape haha.

@@anemone_aquascaping Thank for the response I used them for lava stone and they gave me a great assortment. I did not know they took requests for orders that is great. I will for sure use them when starting my 90 iwagumi.

Yes! You can leave special requests in the notes when ordering. They try to accommodate as best they can in my experience! If it’s something in particular, you can email them too :)

Hi, is that 90x45x45 cm with 45 angle cut?
@anemone_aquascaping
@anemone_aquascaping 3 күн бұрын
The ADA aquariums have the traditional squared corners, not the 45 degree mitered corners. Personally, I’ve owned both types and never had a preference of one over the other..

@@anemone_aquascapingyou mean you dont recommend 45 degree cut? Could u pls explain because I am about to order a full clear 90x45x45 and really confused.

Big mistake to take a thin layer of aquasoil to prevent the stones dammage the glass. This way it can develop a big pressure that let the glass craque or even explode. To protect the glass from heavy stones , egg crate or isolation material or a thick layer of soil need to be used.
@anemone_aquascaping
@anemone_aquascaping 2 күн бұрын
I agree with you that an egg crate or some other similar method can be a safer option than how I built it! But, if you look back, there are several stone layouts created by Mr. Amano that were done successfully in a similar manner to how I built this (only with no soil at all rather than a thin layer) Thanks for the input and for watching!

@@anemone_aquascaping yesss that's exactly the point if you don't use any kind of protection it is much safer to put your stone on the bare glass or a thick layer of soil then using a thin layer. A single grain of soil between the glass and your stone can create a pressure on the glass that it will burst.
