You can change the width of the stroke in properties. Nothing new in this.

The rapid rate of improvement from Affinity just from 2.0 to 2.5 has been amazing. Having paid for the bundle for all 3 on windows/mac/iOS, I feel like i got my money's worth at least thrice over.

Downloading and installing new fonts is, for some unfathomable reason, something I have always had problems with but you have explained the process so clearly I don't think I will have any further problems, thank you. The variable fonts do indeed look like a lot of fun.

On Windows you can right click on a font and select "Install Font...", without having to search for the correct folder.

03:57 correction for Windows: just double click on the TTTF. And the font will install itself. Not any need to open folders, transfer files etc.

Wow, I'm surprised you noticed a difference! I used to shoot my videos with the camera directly at eye level, but I decided to experiment with having the camera slightly higher up than me (so it's pointed 1 degree downwards). I'm glad the experiment was a success! 😊

Great, useful about the variable fonts addition, I haven't got a single variable font on my system ... guess it is useful but obviously not for me. The QR code tool, again, another interesting addition if I ever need a QR code (which is probably zero). Only addition I really liked with this release was the stroke width tool but it is a little buggy and quirky and much of it could have been done with the pressure panel.

[Windows] You can just right click on the font and click "install". No need to find the folder to drag and drop.

Actually you can install a font on the Mac by simply double-clicking on the font file. This with bring up a small preview window with an "install" button. Click the button and the font will automatically be installed in Font Book.

I may be being thick, but I used to be able to search in the help menu and it would give me whatever I needed without having to remember what menu it’s under. Now I can’t search, is the feature gone or is it somewhere else?

Beware! 2.5 has a bug that does not allow any of the Affinity programs to start in some computers. Continue using 2.4.2 until they work out the bug. Hopefully 2.5.1 will be out soon to take care of this bug.

The reason I've never upgraded is that Affinity lacks a font-related feature I need. I work in Japanese and English, and when Affinity rasterizes a PDF it is incapable of retaining the Japanese fonts. It's something I've requested, but I doubt this version has remedied this issue. What about line hight? Comparing to the flexible weight of the font the feature is pants! In Corel Draw you can simple drag a line down to increase the line distance.
