thanks for a tutorial on how to make a soulless game even more soulless!!! i genuinely wish roblox would add a rule where lazy ai “ArT” thumbnails would be removed and replaced with a “thumbnail of shame” which basically says “Uh oh! This game’s thumbnail was ai “ArT”! The thumbnail has been removed, replaced by this placeholder, and will stay until the developer of this game uses a non-ai thumbnail.” but roblox itself as a company is really soulless, so they aren’t going to rat out other soulless shit.

plus it restricts the use of generated images to personal, non-commercial purposes. Essentially, any images created with Bing Image Creator cannot be used for commercial activities.

I won't use these for my game, but I will use them to get inspiration for the REAL Icon i'm gonna make. I think this is the way it's mean't to be used. It's a tool for inspiration, not just a replacement.

hey guys not to worry anyone but I had a thought that Roblox are very strict of what you can and can't do with their logo and stuff. So I was looking through dev convos, Roblox TOS and google to find out more and I think using the word 'Roblox' (which the thumbnails Kingkade shows have) is against TOS and is NOT allowed. Please tell me if I'm wrong but I believe you cannot use these thumbnails he made because they had the logo and name of the company.

you can use it, they can take it down if they want tho, the same as you can play video games and upload gameplay videos but if the studio behind the game wants your video down they can take it down.

This will stop alot of people from visiting your game as to most people with a brain can tell the difference from ai and normal art. Sure it will get you a cool looking cover but your reputation as a dev will be forever stained. Alot of people dislike ai art alot.

this feels like its not an effortful game, im pretty sure it would lure players away. i would suggest making a more simple thumbnail with the game name on it and add some good bg im not saying this tutorial wasnt helpful, its a good vid i guess, just not worth advertising if you have that type of thumbnail

You will likely lose alot of players and your reputation as a dev will be ruined because alot of people dislike how ai art is being used commercially and should only stick to personal use. And yes its very very easy for people to tell between ai art and normal art even if the prompter thinks it looks legit, most people with a brain can tell

I think ai would stop people from playing your game since the thumbnails made by ai aren't really art and ai images looks soulless, i think even a MS paint drawing would have more soul than ai tbh, some game thumbnails like infinite road trip have a ms paint drawing or poorly drawn image but it still have a bunch of players but most ai games don't have players unless its a game for people who will have to sell their 8 year old son to some man or become depressed and turn into a r@c1st cu1t leader or have a gambling addiction. and if you don't have enough robuxs to commision / hire someone to make a thumbnail make it yourself by drawing a 5 mins drawing in ms paint (if you want to be funny or idk but these thumbnails kind of looks silly and unique) or maybe beg your mom for 5$ so you can commision someone since commissions actually aren't that expensive and can only cost around 200-400 robuxs (i've seen with a blocky style) (and yeah ai art sucks i spent 5 minutes typing this)
