Yes, very much so. I've since found that people have started using anti air towers on the front line alot more now though

air as a arm normally dont work as well as cortex, you normally would request an ally to give u arm cons. trans are normally given priority wise, (special spot, carry spot, u front, others), in this map normally blue possition would get the priority then u front guy. U first cons turret need to be in range of lab to reduce bp starvation specially as air. that air lost is not u fault but u could have prevent it, u normally dont do a wide line early on cuz u dont have that many figs, so u look for impirtant spots (using scouts or looking at the map), if u see a comander go down and a trans moving in to position u need to have u fighters in a ball and ready to address the issue and protect the trans. I dont wanna be tedious so this are all my humble advices for now XD, u doing good with u casting good job.

Very informative, thankyou so much! I now that cortex air is better than arm especially in t1. I actually needed that trans priority order and will be referring back to this in the future :D. I purposely built the turret away from the production facility because I didn't want to over use resources in unit production early. This I'd probably a mistake on my part, but I'm just trying out new things to see how they work out. I have since learnt not to do giant patrols early like you said because the coverage is hard to achieve. I'm still learning and comments like yours really help make me a better caster!
