Love your meal prepping! Papaya is sooo delicious! Let it sit for a few more days so it ripens more and is sweeter before cutting it (it should be a bit soft and not hard). It'll be a nice vibrant orange inside when it's ripe!

Strawberries should only be washed right before consuming- it helps keep them from turning bad so fast!(washing introduces extra moisture not already present and accelerates mold growth) Before putting them in storage, make sure they are dried thoroughly! 😊hope that helps!

Love papaya! My favorite way to eat it is to just cut in 1/2, scoop out the seeds, squeeze a wedge of lime on the 1/2 and then just spoon it straight out of the skin. You can also fill the center with other fruit, cottage cheese, or yogurt to make a little salad.

I love papaya frozen! I make a papaya and mango smoothie-so delicious! Also-save your papaya seeds and add them to your smoothies. They help in digestion. Just rinse them, let them dry, then keep them in the freezer.

Love grocery hauls and big fan here of papaya. I grew up with that fruit and my grandmother and my mom would make dessert called Dulce lechosa (candied papaya) it’s the best. I make it now for my grandkids and family. Have a bless day🤗

How do you make it?!

@@BeautyTheBeastons one papaya not to ripe 3 tsp baking soda, few cloves (clavos), cinnamon stick(3-4), regular or brown sugar. Cut the papaya in slices not too thick, add 1 1/2 water, add baking soda, let it sit for 15-20 minutes, rinse making sure all baking soda is removed. I usually rinse 3xs Once removed and rinse put in a pot, 1-2 cups of regular sugar or brown sugar, 3-4 cinnamon sticks, 10 cloves cook on medium heat let it simmer cover for 30 mins it will release natural water and caramelize all ingredients. Do not stir. Once the liquid becomes like a syrup then let it cool and enjoy. You can taste if you need more sugar. We usually eat it with a banana or cheese. I enjoy it by itself. I had to practice enough times for the desert to be like my mother’s way. After its cools off, I add them in a glass jar with lids that the sell in the dollar tree and put inside the refrigerator. I hope you enjoy it and if you don’t I totally understand. My sister never like papaya.
