Somewhere around the map there’s a dead astronaut with a keycard. It appears as a Medkit symbol. Pick it up and enter ship. Near the area where the android is there should be a little area with a closed off room and a control panel next to it. Insert the keycard and it unlocks a special hidden room.

I think his entrance animation in the lobby is a reference to Alien: Isolation. He performs the same movement when you run into him in the medical area, and he crawls out of the vent.

Learning that Xenomorph's tail can drag and flick like Nemesis' tentacle opens a wide window of oportunities in chases. The length of the attack is also really good. Mix that with Enduring and you may have a free hit each stun.

Something that manual TP gives you is the ability to swap your TP mid travel when you see auras. If you start heading to one and see auras at a different one you can just go to that one

I love how many references they put into this from, not only the Alien movies, but also Alien Isolation (the game that canonically takes place between Alien 1 and 2) and Alien vs Predator. To name a few that I noticed immediately: 1) The menu drop down animation. It is the exact same animation used in the Alien Isolation game when you first encounter the Xenomorph. 2) The footstep detection add-on. This is also a reference to the game where you, the player, can either traverse the map by Urban evasion, walking or running. Running is fast but loud and will draw enemies (and the Alien) to your location. Urban Evasion allows you to be completely silent while moving, but you are incredibly slow. Walking is a middle ground where it's not loud enough to draw away further away foes to your location BUT if you are standing roughly within 6 meters of an enemy and you walk, it will cause you to be detected by them. 3) The mori is almost shot-for-shot taken from the first Alien vs Predator film. One of the xenomorphs in that movie kills one of the predators via spear through the chest before piercing through the skull with its second mouth.

Not accurate at all. The headbite is not supposed to go all the way through and kill you, it's supposed to remove specific parts of the brain, leaving you paralyzed for easy facehugging

@@NotPork The runner in Alien 3 headbites a prisoner after he closed a door and you can literally see his giblets blasting through that door's window. The xenomorph in Alien: Covenant kills a showering man from behind and you can see the inner jaws busting through the guy's mouth. Both predators killed by the grid xenomorph in AvP are killed in similar manners, you can see Chopper's blood hitting the ground near Alexa, and you can see blood blasting from behind Celtic's head as he's killed off. Also, the headbites are purely for dispatching targets lmao, it only paralyzes a guy in Resurrection for a gag before he dies. The only time it happens in the whole series iirc.

It’s entirely accurate. What you said is never once addressed in lore, neither in the mainline stories or in the eu comics/books or games. Adding to that there’s be no feasible way for it to use its pharyngeal jaw on a head bite purely for incapacitating prey. The size and shape paired with cutting teeth are lethal enough. Add to that the force needed to pierce a skull and the force the thing launches at and it would render the prey flat out dead more often than not. If not through hemorrhaging then through the sheer amount of energy transfer liquifying the prey’s brain in its skull. Even if prey miraculously survived the initial blow the risk of them dying from complications afterwards, possibly during or post implantation, is far too high for it not to be a massive risk.. Simply put it would be entirely unfeasible to use a head bite for anything BUT a killing stroke when crippling limbs works far better.

Everyone had been waiting for this and let's agree, Behavior delivered. Balancing issues aside, visually, atmospherically, animations, map... all of it is pretty top-notch. If the killer and perks need balancing that can slowly be worked on with time. Also that tunnel system feels great. I can see lots of people falling in love with that killer.

It could be a perk where if the alien breaks a gen, the next survivor who will touch it will be jumped by a facehugger and then a few seconds later, it will come out and they will get injured or some other debuff.

One thing I realized that is that the change from an animation to a physical space is so much better bc I have had some moments where I try and TP to a portal or TV and when they're lined up parallel it makes it hard to choose the specific one and I get sent to the wrong one when I'm moving fast

2 months before this killer released I had a dream playing as a survivor against him. I had an astronaut suit on and other crew mates as survivors. The alien would travel through sludge and power lines on the dark mucky ground. In the dream he could also clone himself, having two smaller versions to also hunt us down. We were on a spaceship with cold blue colors. Seeing Alien actually be released 2 months later after was so trippy to me. I knew no one would believe me if I said it, plus it's not like something you wouldn't see coming. Aliens is a horror character after all. However, today I decided to actually look at his kit - with tunneling ability that looks almost exactly like how it worked in my dream blows my mind. I feel like someone dug through my head or I saw the future. It's so trippy seeing a dream become a reality. I have no proof, and you don't have to believe this, I just needed to vent it out. Such a coincidence XD

I love how they integrated the acid blood, but I'm surprised there's no facehuggers. Coulda been neat to have a mechanic that spawns a stationary queen with an ovipositor that poops eggs you can cart around and place like turrets of your own that'd spawn facehuggers on any survivors that got too close that'd chase them around like a mix between Nemesis' zombies and Victor. It's also pretty neat there's an add-on that essentially gives your tail built-in spoopy butter.

I'm absolutely loving the direction the new killers are taking, being more interactive, Dredge with Lockers, Knight with Guards, Skull Merchant with Drones, Singularity with Biopods, and now Xenomorph with Turrets, regardless of how they translate in-game, it's more fun than going from pallet to pallet and playing mindgames.

Yeah man that's called lack of creativity, it's basically rhe same teleportation that's being used with almost every new killer, and the worst part is that it's a power that 100% of the killer that gets it, it usually turns out to be weak or very hard to use, and when you managed to play good with it, it's not very rewarding like nurse's blink, it's basically a "get close to survivor and then suffer trying to kill him like a m1 killer", at least xeno has that tail attack so that + teleportation might get him to tier A i guess, but still sad, they could make something bigger with him.

Rapid brutality and that one singularity perk where you down a survivor and the other ones get hindered could be an absolute nasty combo and even combining that with infectious fright on top of it. You down a survivor and hear the screams of nearby slowed survivors whilst your faster than you are on top of that!

It's an asymmetrical, cat-and-mouse type of game. Personally, it was at its most fun when I knew nothing about how the game works, so maybe as a new player you'll get a good kick out of you first bunch of matches

The locker perk seems OP when used on wesker with distressing, basically barbeque but closer distance. It actually can be paired with barbeque for ultimate aura reading. Gotta test it out

Yeah but these survivor perks are going to be pretty insane with good builds too. No sprinting foot steps is huge, pair that with something like lightweight, Dance with me, Calm Spirit, Distortion, etc and you’ve got an awesome stealth build. The trapped pallets is hilarious AND useful. Pair it with blast mine to punish gen kicks and pallet breaks, add in Yui’s perk to pick up pallets and you’ve got some extremely fun META break perks.

@@nathangothan601 i barely see any people who run calm spirit, but i suppose it is one way to do it. They still get blindness so no aura reading if you're still close to the hook, which basically kills kindred or OoO value on solo queue. And beside, with wesker, you can vault pallets with your ability, mostly negating it with the build i proposed. (Yeah i do agree it is fun though, basically blast mine on pallets lol) I do see a problem - if you have something like a shack pallet + Dance with Me, quick and quiet, any means necessary/lithe and chemical trap with a flashlight would be a very interesting build with baiting the killers to break a god pallet or get a quick getaway ( Lithe to get away quickly, any means necessary to fake climbing the pallet and potentially raise it later with a trap on, the choice is yours). You stun them, flashlight blind, fast vault with quick and quiet + dance with me and you basically disappear. If the killer decides to break the pallet thinking you're still nearby and because it's a good pallet to break, they trigger the trap and lose any chance to catch up with you

I didn't saw people talk about this here but there is actualy jonesy the cat on the map when you interact with specific lockers on the map there is a chance that the cat will come out of it, also the pipe thing in the trailer that slow the xenomorph is also on the map as an interactable lever

The fact that you're referring to the spanish language as if it had a universal pronounciation is already enough to know you have no idea what you're talking about. There are literal dozens of books on how the pronounciation consonants at the beginning of words deviated wildly from country to country. In the case of "Y", as it doubles as a vowel, there's so much of different between regions that the instinctive reading a native speaker of spanish associates with the letter is essentially dependent on upbringing more than anything. Not to mention the whole can of worms of the "S" sound, where it varies from a hard, doubled sound to inaudible. While you're free to argue that the "X" sound in Xenomorph would sound closer to the anglophone "zee" than to the "she" that Otz used if read akin to the most popular pronunciation patterns of the language, it is ridiculous to say that the "se" or "ce" sounds would be a "correct mispronounciation", especially when not accounting for where Otz is from within Spain or for his current life in Andorra. Also, while not relevant here, there are, in fact, regions that speak romance languages where this is the expected phonem deviation associated with this X, especially in South America.

One suggestion (and I know that this is a pipe dream), but it would be awesome some chests or turret pods were randomly booby-trapped by hiding facehuggers. The survivor has a limited time to get the FH removed by another survivor before the FH gets full purchase on their face --> KO via chestburster (much like the Pig's reverse bear trap mechanic).

We didn’t really see how it worked too well in this but I would really like it if you could see survivors in the tunnels. Like if they’re within 5 metres of you in the runner or something you see their aura and they don’t know you’re there. Obviously you’d have to emerge from a tunnel but I think otherwise the tunnels are not super great, it adds a very good stealth aspect to it

Well then, i can already see a super chase build with this guy. Acidic blood paired with enduring basically makes any pallet a death sentence. And having that vault speed add-on with bamboozle and weskers vaulting perk means windows are not safe either. I'd love to see you do a build with that, the Acidic blood and Self Destruct Bolt add-ons, Enduring, Spirit Fury, Bamboozle and Superior Anatomy as your perks. You may not have any gen slow-down perks, but you are fully lethal in runner mode.
