NEW AND UPDATED DCUO Sorcery Ranged AOE Loadout for 2022/2023

Hey All! I'm back with another one for you on DCUO and this time we are continuing our look at the Sorcery Power Set and concentrating on the AOE Ranged build with Loadout and Rotation. We are going to look at the mods, the artifacts, the allies, the loadout and of course we will see what kind of damage it can do. We are also going to visit on the effectiveness of projectiles and when and when not to use them. Thank you for these videos. I have come back to DCUO after several years away and I've been floundering for the last few months. I was always in healer role back in the old days but now that I'm back I have to do more solo/dps content.

Try that loadout unbuffed and on the sparring targets that dont give power back to fury and your numbers will not be the same...nice vid

@meremortals9960 Thanks for the note. I did address this in the melee build vid. There is a difference, not nearly as big as you would expect, but it is there.

Nice build but I have a few questions, Do you swap artifacts Scrap & Quiz cus 10k supercharge is too long to build. Have you tried this build in elite content? would Black Adam supercharge generator work better than Shazam as you’re reliant on the supercharge for the extra damage?

@bennykitoko164 If you think GS is too long, then go ahead and sub in one of your preference. I use GS because it's damage output is so high and it makes it worth the wait. If you toy with changing the arts, you are going to lose substantial damage off of your normal parse. So go with a SC swap if you want to go with a 5k instead.

@THEGummigod I get it about prec, that's why you don't see too much of that from me. I am glad to see they are helping out-that's really why I do this! I try to put out the absolute best that a power can be without making a might loadout as complicated as a prec one. I have to do electric after fire, and I was really leaning towards hard light after that, but I can see about juggling atomic into the mix in the near future for you!

@pedrohigueras3719 Great question. So..... This was tested some time ago and from what I remember, Fury actually does more damage. The trick here is that the powersets were tuned with that in mind. In doing these and microscoping each powerset, I have learned that every powerset built correctly can do damage compatible with Munitions within reason. So there's not really a better or best power. There are only a few outliers that are just tuned too low, neither Sorc or Earth have those issues.

@Randomuserok That one is a simple and complicated one to say the least. It's a time sink, and an investment in a lot of ways. I continue to play out of love for the game and the bonds with the close friends that I have made over the years. I say if it makes you happy and you enjoy it, absolutely!

@Randomuserok The weapon I use on test is shield. I literally will only use my weapon for a lunge in most circumstances so with that in mind, shield works well for that, but I use a variety of them on live. I tend to go with ones that don't have a long animation and ones that I can clip if needed to not send me to close into battle when I don't want to.
