I would LOVE an Amazonian map, there could be jaguars which would have similar mechanics to the tiger, caimans which would add another reptile to the game, and numerous multicoloured birds like the scarlet macaw or the bird of paradise. You could also spawn boats and sail down the Amazon river, shooting capybara and flamingos. Well this is just an idea for another dlc map, hopefully a dev could see this and consider adding what I expect to be a very popular map. Many of the animals you listed aren't animals that are hunted really. The amazon is an amazing place irl, but I don't think it translates that well into cotw. Jaguars would be cool in Parque Fernando though

@ConnorMcGlone Tigers are hunted, but birds of paradise and parrots are almost never hunted. Trapping does exist for the pet trade tho. Also I haven't really heard of flamingo hunting but I can't comment on that. On an amazionian map the most feasible candidates would be tapir, capybara, jaguar, caiman, red brocked deer, waterfowl and oscellated turkey would be cool even though they don't live in the amazon

For what I like to see come to the game, I have a list: 5. Bait packs for baiting animals that feed on a certain type of food depending on the diet and class of the animal (should be much easier for grinding some animals that don't drink) 4. Species backfilling for certain animals on reserves (with the exception of Revontuli Coast and New England Mountains) 3. A new hunting lodge to store new trophies 2. New side missions from Silver Ridge Peaks to Mississippi Acres. 1. The ability to create your own custom maps with the environment and species as long as you list no less than 10 and no more than 19 species.

A new Africa map with at least 80% new species would be great. Africa is a treasure trove of variety in animals well beyond the current (and very good) Africa map. Also, the Amazon and northern Canada ideas posted in the comments were great ideas. A Mongol map would be cool, too.

I would love! To could have a map where You could Hunt horses!! (I know horses have a place in hearts, of many! I have been thinking about the new animal question. Wonder if they have thought of putting in trapping. Some new animals could be put in with that mechanic alone. Also, new ways of getting existing animals caught in traps as well. One animal that could be added with traps could be the beaver. Other animals include musk rat, ferret, and mink. All have value in fur trade. Some are even considered pest because of the destructive nature of the animal. Just an idea I thought I would share.

i voted for the wolves, their common fur doesn't even look like a gray wolf lol they need to fix up their model and give them proper fur variations imo. they just don't look right as they are. important to note, they didn't say RARE furs, they just said furs in general which could be common furs like what they did with the fallow deer and its 3 newer furs ( white, chocolate and dark. ) also pretty sure its the mountain goat not elk, rocky mountain goat and mountain goat are the same thing.

I've discovered a trick to get respawns. If you've dropped everything (Except females) around a lake and it's taking its sweet time with respawns. Just exit your tripod and take a few steps away from it then enter it again. 😉👍

I'm so happy Gray Wolf leads the poll for new furs because they look terrible right now; the fur texture is like rocks and the colors are blah.

Where can we find these polls? I checked the website and don't see anything and if it's on discord I somehow can't even. Open the app anymore. The thing thst bothers me is new antlers variations but not atypical (nontypical) antlers? Still it's nice to see that they're making changes and letting the community choose even if they chose some terrible guns (other than the .375) in the previous gun dlc. They should add silencers if they're going to add an ar15 round (.300 blackout) in a bolt action,which was an odd choice imo.

In my opinion the content should not take this long to be added. When the game first came out they said they wanted to have great ones for every species and the last 3 have been a joke. I don’t know what they do at their company but work clearly isn’t a main priority. By the second half of 2025 they should have every species have a great one plus all the furs we have been waiting for. I understand the maps taking more time but at this point the updates are starting to resemble Minecraft
