The amount of Top 300 Preds I've encountered this season in LTM and unranked trios is ASTRONOMICALLY higher than any other season I've played. Ive seen upwards of twenty of them so far, probably five or so being Top 100 Can't tell if its genuine improvement and mmr putting us with them, the total player count dropping drastically, or issues with matchmaking; I'd assume its all 3 to some extent though

What respawn should do regarding the long wait times for masters and pred lobby’s they should make it like straight shot for them 10 squads smaller circle that way they fight against there own ranks

they cant, from all player base diamond, master and preds are around 3% not all play at the same hour and same region, most players stop once they reach plat and the veterans once they reach diamond 4, so matchmaking against same ranks is impossible as probably 1 or 2 per cent of players are in those ranks including diamond without it is like 1%

For those that say they're still seeing Preds, my guess is that once the internal queue time clock hits a certain time, it starts considering Pred players again. Because trust me, as bad as it feels to play against a lobby with Pred 3 stacks, it's FAR worse to experience the feeling of NOT being able to get into a game at all, if there aren't enough evenly matched players. It's easier to get over the feeling of dying to a Pred team than it is to get over not being able to play the game at all.

This is awesome! I played solo to masters for a couple seasons, but I quit playing ranked, which made me quit Apex. And one of the main reasons was, I really didn't have time to play 100+ hours on ranked every single split. Now they just need to reward solo que players, or make a system where solo and duo que ranked play together, and 3 stacks are mainly playing against eachother, Duo que players should be used to fill lobbies where there isn't enouh solo or 3 stack players. And bring back arena, or a game mode search and destroy, similar to Counter Strike would be awesome.

You still get players outside of your rank. What I mean is being high plat or low dia and getting matched with silver and golds. Solo queuing is still horrendous even with like 55 players with the same rank since the other 5 has a high chance of being in your team.

Former apex predator here…. If this is true wouldn’t it mean that those who have hit masters/pred on numerous occasions just steam through diamond lobbies now and essentially get a free master badge… similar to what happened with s12 ranked? I hope I’m wrong but hey at least this is a step into a better direction than what ranked was like before this update.

If that's where they deserve to be, yes they get a 'free' masters badge because they are good enough to get it. After a little time the levels should 'level out' with who should be where. Silver players should steamroller through bronze, the same as gold and diamond, and the levels before them. Then they should be playing in their respective skill based lobbies after not too long. Then they compete to actually get higher, or level up in their rank.

@ oh okay, so this is more similar to how ranked arenas use to be. Back in arenas depending on where you finished in the previous split, the game itself will reward you significantly with a lot of points to progress you quickly towards the rank you last finished in. Example if you finished in masters then the game is gonna progress you very fast to get you to masters and then those significant amount of points will disappear and you’ll be getting plus 12’s from then on. However in this case you’ll be versing people that are at a much lower skill level to you which will get you to the rank you’re meant to be at quicker and then from then on is where the struggle would begin? Please correct me if I’m wrong or have missed something. Also thank you so much for the input! I really appreciate it 💜

unpopular opinion, i don't get why they did this for diamond, if masters is right above diamond, and pred is just top 750 of the master players, what makes anyone think they're worthy of calling themselves a master player if they aren't able to climb amongst the rank above? the same way plat is mixed with diamond, gold is mixed with silver, why shouldn't pred be mixed with diamond? the better way to do this is just to add a rank between diamond and masters imo.

@ well, its because theres mostly plat players in apex, majority of the playerbase for apex is extremely mid at the game. my point is people who are plat4 if they dont gain lets say enough RP to get to the next tier of their rank, they should get demoted back to gold. because if you just sit and bully people in the rank you’re in. in this case lets say gold. and then you cant climb without immediately getting absolutely smoked by plat players, you’re not a plat player, hardstuck diamond players are not diamond, they’re plat. thats what’s wrong with the casual playerbase. everyone sucks so bad that they come up either excuses for the fact that its been almost 6 years into this games lifespan, and people are still stuck in the same rank from 3 years ago, its genuinely so upsetting.

False. Im plat 4 and queued with my brother who is diamond 4 and every game had at least 6 masters and 3 preds

If you’re in diamond you should see diamond and above, get used to it. If you’re in plat, you should see plat and below. It’s so simple and yet people really think diamonds were being treated unfairly by the ranked system, no you aren’t, platinum players are. Plat players were getting stomped by imperialhal and company. Plat players are usually solo queuers with not enough time therefore not enough of a chance to win. Diamond players have time but just choose to play apex only, they sign up for competition. Don’t try to say this problem plagued Diamond players, that was NEVER the problem.

The problem was you go from plat lobbies being easy to going to the bottom of d4 and now going against preds which are a big difference in skill levels

Diamond players also suffer. I don’t think you understand the difference in performance between people who triple stack and those who solo or duo Q. There is alot more effort that needs to be put in when you don’t triple stack. I know that preds need some place to go for lobbies or they will be waiting forever, but it is also unfair when you solo Q, perform the best on the team then lose as much points as people who have just reached D4 that are on your team

Honestly it’s fine if diamond lobbies has some masters players, the problem is bottom of diamond facing off against the #20 pred and his teammates. Masters should go against diamond and press and preds should only go against other preds and masters.

@I agree, but there isn’t enough people in the game to make that possible, at least not for diamond and preds. We are just forced to split those type of players between diamond lobbies. Thats why, at least reward a bit more points for certain people in diamond would make the game alot more manageable
