After the update hit 150 shots on the Rapsodo range. There were no issues, all shots were read correctly. Still rolling too far on the left side, as you saw. Went into the E6 app to play 9 holes and had many issues with stability. Several holes would not finish because it was expecting a putt. Needed to pick up for three holes because of that issue. At other times the Rapsodo read data, light was green, but data did not pass through. Frequent disconnects and reconnects that would not read data. Enjoy your videos- many thanks.

Thats not good mate it definitely sounds like there are stability issues for you in 3rd party apps. I'm sure you did but make sure you report that through using the feedback section in the app. I'm definitely not using it as much as others so I might not see as many issues as others who use it day in day out.

I had a similar experience using the speed trainer with my driver. I got crazy results if I clicked the little button at the bottom " I don't own a speed training system" (150+mph clubhead speeds, I wish!), once I left the bottom left button uncheck and just used the big red bar "other speed system", I got the numbers i was expecting (mid 90s).

Joe, Thanks for the video. I am finding a couple of issues with the new update for the mlm2 pro. I use the Stack for swing speed and finding a number of missed reads, some really high speeds and also the system locking up after a shot. I “leave session” at this point and then return. This solves the problem, but is annoying when doing a stack workout. The speed inconsistency is also annoying. Another observation is that I have had to move the unit 1-1.5 ft closer to the hitting area compares to my original placement. This is based on the box to ball placement in the new impact vision alignment screen. I was originally at ~7.5 ft, so I must be closer to 6 ft. now. I also agree the lack of the alignment line on the shot vision view is a huge loss. I have sent comments to Rapsodo about all of these. The speed issues, they say, is an alignment issue of where I’m making the swing. This seems to make sense, as my session seems to have less issues. Have not tried e6 or Awesome golf yet, but I should… Thanks for your work, it’s great. Arnie

I was getting crazy high club head speed numbers when connected via the internet, when I connect directly, the club head speeds are believable. After reading your post, I should try to see if End Session and then reconnecting would also resolve the crazy fast swing speeds.

Thanks mate! That's good you reported everything through. I think the speed session is great but it needs refining... I find it doesn't really pick up my driver very well. It's almost like it registers the backswing and not the downswing because it's already tried to capture the speed on my backswing. Overall for me it's a good update! But like you said a few refinements needed.

Found mine is now less reliable since the update. Have to disconnect and connect again all the time.

Same. Had an issue where it wouldn't connect even after multiple restarts. Kept blinking white for over an hour. Had to unplug the power cord and restart. I also seem to have more no reads than before.

Sorry for the late reply. Yes Rapsodo have released a statement saying they are aware of the issues so hopefully 🤞🤞 they can come up with a quick fix.

I’ve had more missed chips in E6 than before. Not sure which update it changed but just off the green it’s horrible to the point of I have to pick up on the hole. Can you do a quick video on your machine to see if it’s having the same issue?

Oh wow as in chipping? I haven't seen any difference... Have you tried adjusting the unit to ball distance at all?

Has been working great for me, besides really short puts, but I think I just need to bring the unit closer to the ball (6.5ft seems to work for you). Will try this tonight

Yes 6.5 feet unit to ball works great for me. Looking at the new alignment window using the impact vision the ball isn't in the rectangle but it still works!

Mine is working pefectand love it. Can you give any recommendations on getting the iPad to feel out my screen? I’m using a BenQ Lh 600st. I have black bars on all sides but when I hook up my laptop or watch tv on it, it’s perfect

Unfortunately this is going to be an aspect ratio issue. The laptop and tv screen are going to be 16:9 and the iPad is 4:3. My screen is closer to 4:3 and then I can adjust my laptop using the NVIDIA graphics card.

Joe, keep up the videos. I wanted to ask if you have had a problem with the updated connector for gspro. The problem to where it is taking a double shot on practice. Basically when the new connector doesnt read correctly the first time and there is a error or reading it then gets it succesful that somehow makes a double shot happen.

Yes Rapsodo have commented and said they are working hard on a fix.. they have acknowledged a few issues with this update 😕 hopefully it gets resolved quick

I wonder if the no reads are due to them changing the alignment view. I'd be curious to see if you had more no reads if you had your ball in the "optimal zone" from the impact vision. I noticed going from practice mode, the swing vision alignment still works like the old way, but when going to the range and only having the impact vision they seem a bit of from each other. This update has definitely caused more no reads for me. Also in range mode I never experienced the slow ball movement on the left hand side of the range until this update.

For me I swear the new alignment window is further away.. I've measured the box in the impact vision alignment and for me it's over 7ft away more like 7.5ft. I still put it at 6.5ft and don't have any issues or very little issues I still have the occasional misread but I used to get those before the update as well.

Have you had any disconnection issues? Just with the rapsodo app? Seems like it disconnects every 20mins with the new update with direct WiFi using my iPhone 15

I have been having a few disconnects after the most recent update unfortunately. I am downloading the new beta and will be testing that in the next few days. Fingers crossed the disconnects stop again 🤞🤞 they were so good for a while. I connect using my home wifi network using my wifi extender.

Hello, my ball speed does not match what I get for values ​​in the rapsodo app and on gs pro. I hit a 9 iron about 200 m on gspro, but in the rapsodo app it is correct. when I read both the app and the gspro connector, the numbers match, but not in the gs pro game. seems like the gs pro pushes the ball speed up

Hey mate sorry for the late reply! That is very strange! So if you use the verify button on the ROI window the numbers are all correct? I haven't heard of this one. If you are a member of the Facebook group and this is consistently happening then definitely ask the question there and tag Etienne van Tonder as he is Springbok and will be able to really help out!

I have had no issues with the driver reading during speed. Interesting that you had issues. Could it be interference from PRGR?

I think it's a calibration thing.. it seems to be picking up my backswing if I swing too fast. If I do a slow backswing it works.

How does the indoor accuracy of the MLM2PRO compare to the Eye Mini?

It is literally as accurate as a GCquad as there are a few comparisons out there. Only real problem MLM2 has is connection based and that is stuff that can be worked out with updates.

Honestly Eric it is unreal how accurate the MLM2PRO is... Not the best with chipping however it's gotten a lot better but full shots it is actually scary how accurate this thing is for the cost. Now it can't do putting and doesn't have all the data that the higher end launch monitors do.. there are pros and cons. But the data it does give you is insanely accurate.

no corrections on greens it looks like. still around 10 yards of ball bouncing,. So where does it write that the device only reads drivers on speed mode when you wanna use your own clubs.... They advertised as your own clubs which I have taught they were talking about irons as well.

Yeah the actual physics in the game is the same. Good point about the speed training and other clubs. Generally however when working on speed it's the driver you're really working on.. you will get quicker through the bag as a result of the training.

@@URAZKIVANER Yes! Very good point. The stack system is a lot shorter than a driver shaft I think it's around a 6 iron length.. I could be wrong it might suit your situation. They are expensive though 😭

Do you have to line the ball up with the white line every time you hit. If not, how do you know you’re still aligned correctly?

Hey mate so you set it all up when you initially go on the range and then after that you can put the ball anywhere in the box shown in the impact vision camera. After that it's just a case of aiming straight. Wherever you put it in the box laterally you just hit parallel to that if that makes sense so your impact location on the screen will move slightly left or right depending on where you put it on your hitting mat.

I have a video planned showing the comparison in terms of accuracy. The eye mini is far superior as a simulation device.. you can putt with it, there aren't any marked balls, there isn't any space requirement in terms of unit to ball and ball to screen, the chipping is far superior. That being said! Head to head with longer chips through driver in terms of ball flight, ball speed, club speed, and all the measured metrics the Rapsodo is incredibly accurate! They are both extremely close.

I noticed when you were going through the speed training that you use speed sticks. do you have an opinion on which works better. speed sticks or the stack system?

Hey mate sorry for the late reply. So I think whichever system you get you will see results. Honestly just having 2 sessions a week with your own driver you would see results as well. For me I got the speed sticks because they were available and I couldn't get the stack at the time. I love the stack application how all the workouts are in there and it logs everything. Having said that I love how the speed sticks are the actual length of a driver as it makes you swing it more like you would your driver. Pros and cons for both!

You will need to update the app (in the Apple or Google play store) and the firmware in the app

Don't mean this to sound weird, but did you update the app as well as the hardware? After updating my hardware (the Rapsodo MLM2Pro) through home internet connection, I had to update the app through the "app store"; once I did that, the new home screen appears.

Hey mate how did you go? Like the others said you will need to update both the firmware and the application software. If that didn't work then yes that's definitely worth reporting to Rapsodo. They have come out with a statement saying there are issues and bugs and then are working to fix them.

Awesome golf is an external application. You can either pay monthly or for a lifetime license.

Thanks Arnie and sorry for the late reply mate! The speed section seems to be working great for me except with my own driver.. for whatever reason it doesn't seem to like it. It almost seems to be picking up the backswing and then because of that not registering the downswing. Yes my alignment box seems off as well... It now has it at around 7.5 feet instead of the 6.5 feet before. I'd love to see the old alignment window back as well as the new impact vision one. Or just put the same white box and line over the swing vision camera.. Hope it's all working for you now! Joe
