Idk much about how to buy stuff but I do know if you go to your house you can go to the closet and change your clothes there. And you can change your tack when you build your stable.

When you build the medium stable you get the tack area and for the character when you get the holiday house you will be able to switch your clothes.

I wanted to know this😍 and i couldnt find info on it anywhere, not even in youtube videos..lol, it was driving me nuts This is one of my favourite things in life sims or genres like that. Being able to change outfits , and make your character all youre own. Generally i ussually mak my character similiar to myself if i can.. and occasionally i might feel goofy, and put my charactee in a baloon hat or something lol

Would love to see more gameplay of this! The sprint thing is a bug, I always have to close the game out and reload for it to work properly. I'm fairly positive the constant getting stressed thing is also a bug they're working on. As for the tack shed, you just need to build the medium stable the mayor gave you. Having a medium and small stable don't give you extra horse slots I believe, so you'd technically be wasting resources having both. Clothing is a little more complex, I've logged 21-ish hours and only just unlocked it but you get a quest from Noella about her style and another quest/reward which is player housing. I wish I could provide more insight, but all I remember is needing to craft a holiday home and then I could customize my hat and clothes. No clue if we can change our hair or eye colors though... Anyways! I hope this helps - the game is buggy but fun, and it'll be a solid time sink when they iron out more of the pressing issues. 😊

PS: for long jumps you need to HOLD the jump button. Gaining speed is also necessary for very long jumps. Short jumps just need a quick press of the jump button.

ahh unfortunately I really am not sure!! You might have to do another side quest? I stumbled upon her accidentally by that race track and she was talking about grooming your horse first and then I went away and came back 😅

The physical version for the switch comes out on the 15th and comes with the uni on tack and Irish cob, I'm going to get it then. On Twitter the devs said their working on bug fixes and performance issues so I'm hoping there will be a patch next week

uh, having trouble with the game myself, i play it on my nintendo switch so i dont know if its a bug on there or what it is but even when i build stables i cant have more that 1/1 horses?

i hope you are happy with whichever you choose! I also see lots of bad reviews and I 100% see where they are coming from I think I have gone into the game with a different POV...a major part of my enjoyment in games is simply playing and filming them so I have been rather enjoying myself however maybe that's just because I like creating the content if that makes sense! I feel the game had lots of potential. I have never played a game this early in it's release before so I am unsure how much would actually change however I am assuming they probably won't really implement the game changing things such as a stronger storyline! There is some amazing structures around the place - our ranch isn't the only thing that is rundown/destroyed and yet I haven't heard anything about these areas, at least yet! Sorry for the essay 😳

There was a time my horse was happy after petting and still wouldn't sprint. I exited to game menu, and loaded back in to fix it. Hope this helps!

Star Stable being boring is personal reflections :D Which are totally fine :) I enjoy playing the game just as much now! But playing more then Star Stable has always been something I have done in my life - just not in a public eye! It is difficult to move a KZbin channel from one content (especially the Star Stable community) to a broader umbrella of 'horse games' so I am super glad to hear you are enjoying it! I am bias to Star Stable because a major part of my enjoyment is making videos :) just to add that in haha

I don't have SSO, because honestly it looks like it's going more and more downhill and with the release of better games in the future, they're either going to lose a LOT of players or they're going to actually get their a into g and improve the actual gameplay. It looks to me like it's a game about collecting pretty horses and grinding, which looks very boring to me. Making videos on roleplaying and stuff seems interesting sort of, but definitely not worth the money they want you to spend on it in my opinion

I always feel a part of the minority but truth is: I am a super easy person to please. From my point of view: I make KZbin videos everyday, I am a busy person! I play games for only a few hours a day or at least compared to what I have seen some reviewers want from the game. I have multiple games I enjoy a lot and my enjoyment comes from filming and making those videos. So I have been really enjoying this game! I feel like they are lacking in somewhat of a quest line however I am reluctant until I finish them to truly say that! There are so many relics around the world (broken towers/castle looking things) and so much stuff which could have made for an awesome story line which I haven't seen yet! I haven't even tried out taming or breeding yet. I feel like I am enjoying the role play in my own head side of things: maybe beginning to create my own stories and am really enjoying coming up with a layout for the ranch (even though this can be tricky because it's not easy to see everything from my birds eye view). If you are looking for a game to spend hours on hours of gameplay everyday for weeks then from what I have seen then this might not be the game for you! There is a lot of riding around looking for materials but I quite enjoy this as it's nice for me to slow down (i often just ride my horse in rdr2 with nothing in mind). I hope this is all making sense! And maybe it will help you even just a little bit :) Feel free to ask anymore questions!

for Elderwood? Ride over to Matteo (I forgot where the accent in his name goes) and there is a little pathway through some rocks between where his house is and the carpark! I can't quite remember but keep riding along there and there is a second entrance to Elderwood. You can then follow the paths (whilst doing or this it is helpful to look on the map) back to the other gate and collect the key and open it from the inside!

there seems to be a sprinting bug actually the horse won't respond even when they get pet - which is also something that needs to be done wayyyy too often as literally everything stresses the horse too much so NOT a fan of that kind of mechanic as it messes with riding as much as you would like in exactly the way i feared for a game like this. The bug and constant petting made it impossible for me to complete one of the races against lilli as the horse gets too stressed by lap 2 and cant clear a gap. i also kind of wish horse care was more clear since there's no way to know you actually have to feed/groom your horse or how (on top of i guess building tack/clothing change stations?). I didn't even know you had to talk to Kikki at that OTHER location to even get the prompt for the wash station, or that I had to find Otto myself. but otherwise i love the graphic style, the crafting for your own places, and the potential in breeding (good breeding games are already so scarce too, much less open world 3D). It has the right ideas but there's still a way to go to get there. I'll definitely keep an eye on this game for now and see how it develops as this is the type of game that soooo many of us have such a desire/need for our gaming tastes. I want to see more of these kinds of games, they can offer so much and give you things to do and I don't want them to crash and burn every time.

100% agree with everything here! I wish there was a way to at least pet your horse from horseback. I get horses needing to be comforted but on RDR2 you can just like pat their neck on horseback. I wish there was also a skip button through the petting animations - it does begin to get just so repetitive!

Anyone who is buying this on the Switch might want to hold off. The game is poorly optimized, with lots of frame drops, game stuttering, glitches (especially with how it won't let you re-use a name if you accidentally back out of character creation, or delete a previous character name), and during cutscenes it looks like crap. I laughed when the title for the game came up during gameplay and you could barely read "Emerald Ranch" because of how blurry everything is. It isn't the Switch's fault either, Xenoblade chronicles 3 is very graphically intensive in comparison to Horse Tales and it looks great. Horse Tales just didn't bother to optimize the game for the Switch period.
