I hope you´ll enjoy the EdP! The original to me was always only a LIKE. This one to me is more modern, smooth and fresh which is something I enjoy. And yeah I wish it would have been more like essenza, but maybe you're nose feel it is? Please do let me know how you enjoy it when you get it! 😊

Love the opening, reminds me of H24 by Hermes. The performance is somewhat lacking though, at least compared to the other flankers from the line.

Wasn’t really anything special for me, I felt like it’s been done before and people have said the performance is poor. I really enjoy profumo because it’s sweeter and better performance but I just hope like you said, that they release another essenza!

Safe yes. Redundant? If you have a smaller collection then yeah, just going for one of them is probably the better choice since they are in the same 'area'. They are not the same scent though. I enjoy them both and they give me a different wearing experience so I don't think it's too much to own both. 😊

I will try and do a comparison of them soon so I can really compare them in-depth, but even though none are strong, I do think profondo is a bit better in terms of performance. I also feel profondos scent is more nuanced than Acqua Di Gio EdP. I do however think they made it so light, soft and smooth for a reason. I think they wanted to create the new MASS APPEALING Acqua Di Gio that anyone can wear anywhere. And they did exactly that. Like I mention in the video, some people might find this release to be boring or simply not enough. Others will appreciate it for what it is and enjoy it's sort of simplistic and "discrete" kind of scent. In the end we are all different so please do try it if you are interested in it. 😊

@@LeeNguyen12 yes, I believe that's what they were aiming for and that's exactly what they managed to do. They actually took that step with Profondo (an Acqua di Gio favourite of mine) which to me always been a more modern version of the original.

This is so subjective and it all depends on how YOU feel about a scent. If you LOVE the EdP then yeah.. :) Like I mentioned in the video, the OG is NOT my favourite.. It does smell good but not my favourite. I do love essenza and profondo though. This to me is almost like a blend of the OG (Without the stuff I did not enjoy) and essenza and it's all done in a modern way. I like it a lot even though it is a bit on the soft side. With that said.. You will most likely be perfectly fine with what you have. Profondo is an amazing scent and will do a great job on making anyone smell fresh and nice.

@@calvintlooke993 Hi! I think most of them are sort of in the same ballpark when it comes to the performance.. Profondo is NOT a strong scent and I usually overspray with that one as well. Profumo on me is sort of the same. I know some people say it's super strong but It's never been super strong on my skin. Even though they might perform better on your skin I would not expect any of them to be have a strong projection. I always overspray both 😊

I think it's the way the marine notes come across that reminds me a bit of the original. So while I can pick up a bit of the original in this one, it's not too strong and it's definitely NOT very close to it. That is Something I feel is a positive thing since the original Acqua di Gio to me always only been a "like" and not a love.

I was expecting something else, mainly because they named it ADG EDP and didn’t give it a special name as other flankers (Profumo, Profondo , Essenza, Absolu) - I was just expecting a similar but better take on the original.

Hi! Yes, I do believe Armani wanted the 2022 version of Acqua di Gio to be VERY safe and VERY Mass appealing. And this is that. And it's really for someone who wants something that is on the soft side with a clean, smooth and fresh vibe.

Maybe but to be honest almost all fragrances today are safe and hardly project. And if there are fragrances that project well, they only do so for a very short time before becoming a skin scent. And reformulation is rampant. Some fragrances, Sauvage for example, when it came out in 2015, performed like a beast. I repurchased it in 2019 and I could tell right off the bat that it had been diluted. Good projection for about half hour, then it’s reduced to a skin scent

It's good enough, but only if you are looking for a smooth, fresh and more modern version of the original 😉 Even though I feel this is a safe blind buy I do recommend trying it first simply because I know there are people out there who will feel it's not strong enough or unique enough.. So try before you buy (if you can) 😊 For me, this one comes with me on my next beach vacation which I hope will be very soon 😊⛱️☀️

@@balcoz2004 I think this is a release that will be 50% praised and 50% totally destroyed in terms of how people feel about it. A lot of people will think it's boring, generic or super weak. And I understand that. I even mention that in my review of it. And that's all ok. My first reaction to it was a bit underwhelming. But I do dig my nose deep into a scent for every single review and the more I sniffed it the more I enjoyed it. Right now I enjoy it for what it is: a very mass appealing (most people who will smell it in the air will enjoy it), clean, modern, smooth and safe scent that smells great if I overspray it. It's for those warm summer days when I want something light, fresh and clean"ish" on me. In the end we are all different and enjoy different things in different kinds of scents. 😊 I appreciate your feedback on this and future reviews.
