I did not go easy on my ARRMA Big Rock on its first bash...in fact, I thrashed it! Big air, flips, hard landings and submerged in water. This truck handles so well and was able to line up these small jump faces very easily. Big fan already. I did break one of my velcro straps...a first for me! I still stand by my desire for velcro battery straps and can easily replace this.

And how is it? I’m on the edge to buy one, after my teenage days I’ve never did RC hobby again, just want to start it as a grown up again. This thing with Charger and two batteries would cost me 550 bucks including a battery fire safe on my list for 55 bucks. Don’t want to burn down the house. I would love to get the Karton 4s but I think this rig will do it for semi beginners. What do you think. I think arrma proved it’s point by now. Would like an 1/10 Truggy too more like the buggy’s than the monster truck lock. So the Big Rock V3 seems like a good and not to big Truggy to me. Just how to explain that I’m a big child that needs 500-600 bucks for it’s new toy will be difficult. 😬😅👍

@@NicGoldenEddie Hey bro you definitely can't go wrong with any of the 3s blx arrma trucks. They are really the best bang for your buck in terms of durability, speed and value. They are also extremely easy to work on. I own the granite, typhon and now big rock and they are all been great and my 3s typhon might be my favorite rc. Im really happy with the new big rock. I hear you on the initial start up cost having to get a charger and lipos but once you get them it gets much easier. Some things to note you a really good hobby grade charger for a decent price is the htrc t240 duo on Amazon that is a digital dual charger for like 60, 70$ but I think they have a nice analog version and also a single charge option for cheaper. Just something to keep in mind. Also powerhobby and awanfi make some good quality, cheap(er) lipos. There is also other cheaper lipos on the market too. Just shop around for sure. Amazon also has cheap lipo bags. But if you do decide to get a 3s blx arrma you won't be disappointed! Good luck bud!

I have also broken Arrma velcro straps. I switched to Tekno straps and have had no more issues.

I broke a battery strap on my V3 Granite last week, first time in my life too. Same spot, right at the seam.

If that dosen't do it , what happens sometimes is the solder breaks behind the shrink wrap or just crappy connections, you notice by doing more under load or after it warms up , squeeze or push each motor wire in if works even for second its the connections

Nope. Even my $3500 monster trucks get beat up and broken. Nothing is safe. I have a blast with the hobby. It doesn't pay a lot for me on KZbin, but it helps to buy cars to show on KZbin.

Been seriously considering this to replace my Stampede 4x4. The Pede just runs too hot on 3s and I'm tired of replacing driveshaft parts all the time. How are your driveshafts holding up so far? And how are the motor temps? Great bash video!

If you have the money...get the new Maxx V2 that has the Widemaxx installed already. It's a fantastic truck. But for the Price...the Big Rock is hard to beat

You beat the crap out of that thing. I see wear marks on the center drive shaft where the strap is. I suspect it was somehow rubbing the drive shaft and melted thru from the friction. For $80 more, do you think it's better to get the 4s kraton? That thing looks so nimble.

Those are markings already on the shaft and a rubber o-ring on it. No burn marks on the strap. Just a straight clean break. Easily replayed with a Losi one. Tough call on the 4s Kraton. I’d probably lean toward yes...if you can find one. But this thing is honestly rad

I can't say that yet. Haven't driven either long enough. It handled better for me here than the Hoss did. I have a Hoss video coming, but it was really hard to control and line up the jumps for me. Then with TSM on I didn't like how it was in the air.

No it didn’t melt. It was a clean tear. There are a lot of cars that have this setup and I’ve never had issue with it running the driveshaft.

Very cool. This is way more controlled than the Maxx. I prefer how it drives. I doubt it’s as durable because the Maxx is a tank....but this took some really hard hits for me.

I couldn’t control the Boss the same day on the same trails. The jump faces are small and I couldn’t keep it lined up. It was frustrating. Steering seems to do what it wants when trying to let it go straight. I think a better servo would help. But I do like the hoss for bashing around my yard. Just not on these trails.
