My boss bought an Arrowquip 3 years ago, and we kept count- over 1600 head the first year. As the headgate man, I LOVE it! No problem with the friction latch on the headgate, not sure if the ratchet is an improvement. My own cattle have to cram into a '90's model Universal. It works but is wearing out. The Arrowquip has spoiled me. Easy to run calves in under a minute, and design is great. Didn't think I would like the head catch lever at the back, but I have a 99+% catch rate, and most misses are hip catches. Great units!

Great chutes I bought a tarter a few years ago and am so disappointed in it. I had to cut the head chute off cause a cow got caught and couldn't get out. I'll NEVER buy anything that brand again. Planning on getting one in a few years when I'm able to.

I wish mine had the ratchet on headgate. It has the friction lock now and it just plain sucks. Don’t hold the neck very good. Mine is a 74 model
