Great instructional video. It’s always great when a channel features something other than a monoblock amp.

High pass at 50hz for a sub seems a bit high. Maybe start rolling it around 30. A lot of dubstep will hit as low as 32 or lower (although you need 15's to really feel it with power)

How do you feel it compares to your review of the MARTS BTX8?
@HiFiVector4 ай бұрын
They are both good. The audiopipe has a little nicer looking app. But the marts has higher output to out voltage on the RCA’s. Audio pipe can only output about 1.5v clean which is not bad but some people prefer higher RCA output voltage like the marts has. Me personally I don’t feel higher RCA voltage does too much. I’ve tested side-by-side and I did not hear any difference so just depends on your opinion, but I really like the Mark DSP myself.

Zapco and Helix DSP units are really pricey, but they are very effective and do everything I would ever want. I've tried low-priced DSPs and was very disappointed in the performance. I'm not brand-loyal and not wealthy, but loathe wasting money on stuff that sucks. Keep saving until you can get what you really want, not what you can afford right now.
@2011joser Жыл бұрын
Out curiosity what cheap dsp units did you try and how did they fail you? I went through the same experience a few years ago with in dash equalizers until I settled on an Audiocontrol unit. I’m about to take the dsp plunge myself.

I know right, how bloody hard is it to build a DSP that has a USB port that can decode audio FFS 🤬 I mean honestly. What is so hard about it? The only DSP I know of worth buying is the Zapco HDSP V Z, which costs a fortune, but it's nice. I'm forced to run dual headunits for now, to support enough channels and EQ (Pioneer P99RS + Eclipse CD7200)

What's the input EQ for? Don't you only need a output EQ? Also if I set the subwoofer crossover at 80hz, what do I do with the crossover on the subwoofer amplifier❓ Thanks
@HiFiVector6 ай бұрын
Input is a way way to eQ everything then you can tweak each output individually.

All I know is that some android devices you have to install the apk file. So you have to install the apk file on your phone it’s not automatically installed on some android. You can look up online how to install apk files. But the download should be here at lower part of the page. kzbin.info?event=video_description&redir_token=QUFFLUhqa1JwMmRDNnFtYzRzb2Jra2V0XzFvLXRLSEZkd3xBQ3Jtc0tuQ1dhNVFSZG16djFwWUo4Rko3TGdqcFkyeGtLbUdCc0VsWENqdHNOSTJTeDEtOVo4LWlydjFTUk4xTnFMNkhoVHdzMS02d3FQQXZPZ21ZMGdkOEpkdXN5a1VUWUs5SUN2VXNPR2N6bEVHYjJmbXVGQQ&q=https%3A%2F%2Fbigjeffaudio.com%2Fcollections%2Fdsp%2Fproducts%2Fmarts-digital-bluetooth-8-output-32bits-96khz-dsp-btx8-dsp%3Fref%3DHiFiVector&v=XPCIKEG3ToU

This is the link the QR code takes you to download the file: www.coresounds.net/AppFiles/Marts-Digital.apk It is a direct download link so it should download the file as soon as the page loads. In order to install the file, the customer will have to go to Apps > Settings > Security and enable "unknown sources" and save the settings. Once that is done, they can find the file in their downloads folder on their phone and open the file to install it

Maybe you can help me out. My audiopipe dsp won't output in stereo. In my stereo, I fade to left, or right, and both channels still play through the DSP. I verified that the RCA's are correct. When bypassing the DSP, the amplifiers do fade left to right, but with the DSP, they don't. Have any ideas? I've changed the routing, and nothing seems to change. Still playing through left and right. However, when faded to the left, there is no sound. Fade to the right, and both channels play. Haven't had this problem as I've ran this for 2 years. Installed some new amps, and boom. Troubles all around. Amps fade fine left to right when I plug straight in.
@HiFiVector13 күн бұрын
Sounds like you did all the right checks to start pinpointing the issue. With what you said it sounds to me like the DSP is faulty and not separating the signal correctly or there is a short inside combining the 2 signals.
@southnyourmind13 күн бұрын
@HiFiVector I'm thinking maybe it's a short, because now suddenly I have engine noise coming through my speakers. There wasn't any before I installed the new amplifiers. And if I plug straight into the amplifiers, there is no noise..

@@HiFiVector I ordered a hertz dsp S8 to replace it. I had thought about it before, but I was like nah, I'll just keep the audiopipe since I love the app.
@HiFiVector12 күн бұрын
Yea I hear ya, I like the AP app as well. Let me know how you like the hertz.
@southnyourmind11 күн бұрын
@HiFiVector good morning. So I've got the hertz installed, and I love it. Had to tinker with it for a while ... If you get one, make sure you put it in expert mode. If not, it limits the woofers to 80hz. Midranges are limited to like 500-600. Anyway, so with the hertz, I get a loud pop on from my amplifiers, I did not have that with the audiopipe. Also, I have a lot of ground noise... But it's not coming from the RCA's. I unplugged them, and still get ground noise. Even with the audiopipe, when I installed the new amps, I was getting ground noise. However, I'm happy with the hertz. But the app could be better.

For the budget DSP my order would be Marts,then expert px2R then audiopipe ADSP -clean-App. And thanks so much for the kind words.

Yo, I'm looking for a device that can invert phase, so like a unbalanced to balanced line converter preferably, that would be cheapest too. The reason is I want to be able to feed an amplifier an inverted and non-inverted signal to bridge. Who knows of a device that I could research?
