(spoiler warning) 15:18 in season 3 Azula knows also because she knows everybody's weaknesses soon and Azula had a whole childhood spent with Zuko, she'd know if he was unsure with his words, lying, being truthful, etc. This ability is displayed when she huddles Zuko, Tylee, and Mai for the volleyball game to strategize, she notices the slightest hesistation of her opponent's foot and using that to win. Also when Aang was doing his avatar state float Azula defied the laws of physics of cartoons and just shot him wiith lightning because she must have known that if the avatar is killed in the avatar state it will permanently end the avatar cycle, that was one of his weaknesses. Those are examples, another example is, she was the one who killed Aang. She controls her lighting and she would never underestimate anyone, much less the avatar. Azula would never just get Zuko all the glory like that, she would probably never even want Zuko to live with her or be associated with the royal family. She wanted to weaken the avatar, the avatar would come to attack whilst he thinks everybody thinks he's dead, but Azula would still know, and Zuko would be exposed after the day of black sun, because she knew about the day of black sun, had tortured Zuko into being self conscious about it, she probably calculated that Zuko would come clean during the time she again uses somebody's weakness to make her plans follow through, distracting Sokka by talking about Suki and in her calculations would mean black sun would be over, she would kill the avatar once and for all, Zuko would be again banished and not have a chance to regain his honor, She would get all the spotlight, and the Fire Nation would rule.

I believe Mai is a part of Zuko’s childhood that represents a happier time before his life went bad. They were each others first crush. I think they held onto the happiness they once had and came back to each other in the end. I think, to each other, they both represent innocent happiness that transcends chaos and emotional torment.

Idk if Azula knew. I think she didn't know for sure if Aang was dead or not, thus giving Zuko the glory as an insurance policy. If he ended up being alive, she knew Zuko would face the wrath of their father. If he wasn't alive, it didn't make a difference to her or not. Zuko would be accepted into the family and she'd still be father's favorite, the prodigy and that would ultimately torture Zuko in the end because he would never have his father's acceptance. He and Azula would always know that it wasn't Zuko who killed the avatar and Zuko's so called "regained honor" would always be fake (another psychological torture produced by the ingenious and cunning Azula). Just a thought. ☺️

I don’t understand how people can like watching korra, I know that it’s supposed to be darker and not for kids. When I was a kid I thought korra was just a whinny kid who got whatever she wanted she never had to really work for anything, for example “I’m the avatar you gotta deal with it”, and how when she got her bending taken away she just cried and then got it back. With aang he wasn’t able to enter into the avatar stare anymore after azula had shot him with lightning, had to end a war, master all elements within a year, and defeat the the baddest man on the planet, along with being the last Airbender and not really having moments to grief over the genocide of his people until the guru. If you just take a look at korra a lot of stuff just doesn’t add up, some good videos that help explain this is a four part video on KZbin called “the legend of whorra” it explains a lot more points as well.
