I’ve been using that same axe for over 10 years.. best axe I’ve ever used. I still use the same one I bought over 10 years ago. They don’t break.

I love that axe. The best gloves I have found for splitting wood are the Madsens cotton gloves, they are a smooth padded one sizes fits all. Sort of like the White Ox gloves, except they actually are big enough for a hand to go inside.

I buy the fiskars for the warranty as well, working with the boys from the Ranch they tend to overstrike a lot. So far we have not broken one yet, and honestly they split very well in my opinion. I love mine, the maul is nice as well. David I would love to go cut wood with you, watching you find all this nice dry firewood makes my day! Stay safe out there!

Your a machine dude! I’m pretty good with an axe but I wouldn’t go up against you splitting. I have one Fiskars not sure what model but I have been thinking about picking up the X27. We usually use the axes my son Evan has made putting new handles in some old Plumb heads but it would be nice to have one I can beat the crap out of and not worry about it🤣 👍🏻👍🏻

I have a fiskars, if you want more power, less weight, can't beat it!!

Some people wrap the Fiskars handle with hockey tape I think as much as you use it that it wouldn’t hold up for very. Long....
@comingtofull-ageinchrist6736 Жыл бұрын
that's funny because I saw Gordy on Westcoast Saws use Gatorade tops on his gas can just like that one. I think the A&W tops look a bit more convenient though.

@Damon_3652 жыл бұрын
Yep those split the wood. I use the one you have to bust up rounds and then the smaller one to bust the rest down. I can swing that little thing all day lol. I like wood handles but for the price you just can’t beat a fiskars. I never could stand a fiberglass handled axe, to much vibration.

There a fantastic axe my electric splitter is almost redundant. anything the x27 can't handle the fiskars maul does. There's not much you won't tackle with the pair .

If you get it stuck in wood don't beat it down through the piece. If you hit the head to much that plastic strap snaps and it's useless. They tell you not to hit the head so it's definitely my fault and was a killer axe when I had it. Got my eye on the splitting maul. That looks beastly!
