It's definately manufacturer inconsistency... I have both and my rain cloud actually is more roomier than my Lunar. I love em both tbh. Already beat up my raincloud and I agree with you, if you got either one, no need to get the other. it's very similar.

Kckd Notify, my cook group($25/month and totally worth it), they provided bypass link immediately at 9am central, right when they dropped. So I had checked out and recieved my confirmation email by 902am. Lol you should consider joining the group, it's been super useful on many drops. I even hit 2 pairs of the A Ma Maniere Jordan 4s, a size 11m on the website release and a size 11.5m on SNKRS. But Kckd Notify provided an early domain link to the A Ma Maniere website release just 30 seconds prior to the release time. So I had my confirmation email 3 mins after the drop time.

I don't know about other regions but here in Asia, NB have continuously re-released the original rain clouds so much, they are now sitting below retail! Apparently, the re-releases have come out of the China factory whereas the original drop was from Vietnam and there's some minor differences. I paid resell for mine when it first dropped, but it's good that anyone who wants rain clouds can get them for below retail now. There's also 12 different colors of them which has really saturated the market. Prices are also discounted in stores. I don't know if it's a good move for NB to kill the hype on the OG pack so much but I'm also happy that more people are rocking NBs. It's really hard to wear something else when 2002rs are so comfy.

I noticed that the tongue is wider on the 2002R Protection Pack than the usual 2002Rs I have. Sean is this the case for the other Protection Packs? Any other differences other than the distress aesthetics that you noticed?

I secured the New Balance 2002R Protection Pack Light Arctic Grey Purple, but my local Livestock messed up my order, & refunded me. (I was feeling lazy, & didn't want to go out in the snow to pick them up. Was the worst snow in a long time.) Managed to secure these from New Balance, just waiting for my order to arrive.(fingers crossed) I do prefer this color.

Was able to grab for retail. Almost past on them but the color way is clean. I’m swapping the laces on them though. I don’t like the burgundy laces it comes with. Needs to little pop of color.

I normally wear a 10 on new balances, I get a 10.5 in 2002r because I have wide feet. I got these in a 10.5, you think it would be too big?

Yes if you don’t have wide feet they run bigger than normal, and 10 would probably fit better this time around.

I have had a lot of inconsistency in the 2002r sizing. I am usually a size 8, but have had to half size up in some colorways. I got these 2002r LNY based on the fitment of the vintage orange protection pack, which I had to go up half a size. Now I am worried they might be too big since yours are roomier in your true size. Will confirm once I get them in hand. Thanks for the review.
