I think the “dad shoe” trend helped NB to have more presence in the sneaker world, also the saturated Jordans, Yeezys and other models were crucial for the NB popularity, people just want to have unique and different models than the rest

You missed the biggest thing the quality. NB quality is far better than Jordan-Jeezy. There still not Prada or luxury sneaker quality but better than Jordan Yeezy.

Outside of their collabs, you really do get what you pay for with New Balance. Think about the fact that these and the OG "Protection Pack" were GR's just shows the quality behind the NB brand. People go crazy for dunks but for the same price, you can get 574's or 327's that are higher quality and hands down comfier than most Nike shoes or Adidas for that matter. "Long time listener, first time caller" with NB's. Unfortunately fell into train of, "NB's are 'Dad Shoes'" initially but I'm glad I saw the light. 574's were my gateway into NB's and haven't looked back since.

@@Unxpekted case in point the Panda Dunks that everyone is going crazy for. Retail for those are already borderline with how crap their quality is. Then you have people paying 3-4 times that of retail on the secondary market which is just ridiculous 🤦

when I got my first new balance pair I was surprised how good the quality is compared to GR nikes so its gotta be the quality, plus the versatility of a sneaker like a 550 which is new balance's Air Force 1 in my opinion that goes literally with everything, the colours they choose, and the comfort of a shoe like a 2002r.. Definitely worth the hype. And resale prices are not that high for a lot of their sneakers so you have a wide range to choose from.

I think it's because people are getting tired of the typical Jay's. Or yeezys. And nb has been going hard. So it is just a great choice. And the quality of materials used are Fantastic. 💯💯💯

New balance just hits the spot, when it comes to the current trends. Beige cream and forest greens and all sorts of neutral tones are just very in right now. And with Jordan 1 and dunks being oversaturated people are looking for alternatives. I personally haven’t picked up any yet but Im definitely will, some time ^^. NB drops are just awful - with their waiting line etc. Im just exited to see what the futures brings or if the current wave just completely vanishes as quickly as it arrived. We‘ll see but Im happy their is another one on the map besides the swoosh and the tree stripes

with new balance , it's about quality, she stand their ground with their shoes almost every release sure comfort depends from model to model, but quality is great regardless of collab or not, i at least have 1 gr pair and 2 collabs and they feel great, new balance overall compared to hype shoes like the dunks, new balance takes the cake for majority of the arsenal

I went .5 size up and it ended up being too big. Reason is they these shoes are made in 2 different factories: one in China and the other in Vietnam. The ones that are made in China fit tts while the made in Vietnam is more snug. I bought 2 of these, a size 10 and 10.5
