Really enjoyed this video and your other NB vids as well. Specifically the comments on sizing. There’s so much out there about 0.5 size down (compared to Nike / adidas) etc etc but In my trying them out it doesn’t make much difference. I have 990v4 in size 11, 993 in 11.5, and v5 in 11.5. They all fit fine. These are fantastically comfortable with supreme quality materials.

When you buy enough of the Jordan signature line shoes, you get tired of being paranoid walking to just regular places with them and especially the lack of comfort that you just don’t wanna fuck with hyped ass sneakers anymore on that level. I love that the NB wave is happening. Fuck uncomfortable fashion sneakers 😇

Btw that “cushion soft foam” feel you get from ultra boost is a lot more temporary those will bottom out a lot quicker compared to this 990 shoe. This one just has amazing support. Try it on at the store you won’t feel it right away but walk up and down the aisle you will feel the energy return.

Jordans are great and for me will always have a place in my sneaker rotation. But I agree with you regarding comfort. Some are very uncomfortable, like the 11s, and then you walk around worrying about messing them up 😅 UB definitely bottoms out. Thanks for watching dude 🙏🏼

For the New Balance 990v5, “You get what you pay for” is a complete understatement. This shoe is worth more than $175 retail.

No offense, Mr. Charles Victoria but this shoe is not worth $175, now $185 or more. Because of comments like yours, that makes these greedy corporate American companies raising the prices of their products. Us, as consumers need to look out for each other by haggling the fu*k out of all these corporations for them to either keep the prices low or reduce the price to meet the expectations of the consumers. This is my opinion.

Doesn't worth more than 130 bucks , the quality control even its made in USA just let me down. Stitches manufacturation are a joke loose everywhere. Inspect before buy it. Made in UK are top notch in quality control.

I actually run in these and they are great. I was skeptical at first, but I have put around 200+ miles on them. A bit heavy, but that’s it. Same with the 993 I had back in 2008.

I was wearing Hoka Bondi's and wondering why my feet hurt and were tired. I was trying on various models when the sales guy said i should try the NB 990. OK, I knew right away it was right for me. Such support, I started walking again in October and when I walk in these it's amazing, no knee pain, no pressure spots on my feet. I can walk way more than previously with these 990 V5's.

After wearing for a couple of weeks i would have to say i needed two weeks to get my feet adjusted but they are better than ever. I could walk 3 to 4x as much as in the Hokas. Exceptional comfort and support.

Yeah man no problem! I'm normally a size 10 and these 9.5 fit great. I also have a pair of 993s, those are 10, and there's not much difference in terms of fit. Thanks for the comment, I hope this helps!

New balance and sizing is such a trip. But once you know your size in the respective models you're good to go. This is definitely one I need to cop. 990v2 was recent cop and that's simply amazing.

Dope review man. Humble beginnings. Lol. I think it doesn't matter if it's a dad shoe or not. It looks dope, the comfort is there and the materials are better than most retros. The first time I bought an ultra boost shoe it over activated my calf. Boost is overrated and bad for your feet as you get older IMO. I'm on this NB train and I'm not looking back. Lol.

Love the 990v5, these shoes are my best daily shoe; excellent review. Would you consider reviewing socks? There's so many substandard quality socks out there. Many have such loose knit gauge & after a few hours it feels like I'm wearing sandpaper on my feet. Best I've found are Smartwool HIKE considered to be liners. They're thinner than sport socks, which I like; also a finer gauge knit & have a smoother feel. I haven't tried NB socks though. Thank you for your video review.

I finally picked these up.. went with the half size down.. they do feel snug without much room in the toebox.. but my latest pick ups have all been half a size down: NewBalance 550s, adidas forum 84s( shoes a lot of people went tts in ) overall confused about sizing now lol

@@guynkicks Maybe I’m just not used to the padding, it’s comfortable & constricting at the same time...honestly the p550s are narrower but have slightly more room in the toe box (length wise ) but the front of the shoe tapers almost to a point..the leather is also pretty stiff..the forum 84s fit bigger or roomier overall compared to the other two..the leather is also softer with more give.. but truthfully, they all fit similar imo ,a half size down..

I am size 10/2E in a NB 624. I can only get any 990 in a standard D width in my country, but in any size and I cannot try the shoe on, only buy then return which is obviously an inconvenient process, time was and in a real time comparison (I dont want to spend $1000 to get 3 pairs of shoes to try on). I wanted the 990v6 but a guy on You Tube compared a 990v5 in 9.5/D (his size) to the 990V6, and to get the same size and width as the V5 he needed to go 8.5/2E in the 990v6. This tells me the V5 in a 10/D should fit me perfectly, but I would prefer the V6, V3 or even a 993 (in order of preference). Is the toe box on the V5 just very wide? Are there any ohter 990s like this? Do you have nay advice for me in choosing my size. Thanks

So I’m trying to buy a pair of 990v5s, and I have never bought a pair of new balances before. So I don’t know which size to get because on my pair of Nike roshes I have them in a size 9 and I like to wear them untied, but I get a bit of a heel slip so I don’t get the snug fit that I would want with them. And that’s what I would like in my 990v5s, to be able to use them with loose laces and have a snug fit, but I’m scared that if I go with a size 9 I'll have a roomy fit but then I’m also scared that the 8.5 size is gonna run too small on me.

@Anime Dempz if your Roshes are loose in a 9, you at least have to go with a 8.5 in the 990v5. See if you can try them in store. 990v5 are likely to be in stock.

Looking at picking up the 990v4 kith United arrows and sons. I’m a true 9 in nike and adidas. I tried the 990v5 in store and the 9 fits great. Would you suggest going with a 9 or .5 size down? I don’t know how the v4 and v5 sizing compare.

I just got mine in the mail, size 9 medium and they fit way too big. I didnt know these ran that big. I need a 8.5 for sure. I usually rock 9-9.5 in all shoes even my other new balances

I personally went up a size . Their size 7 uk is 25.5 cms whereas Nikes size 7 are 26 cm . Plus the shoe has a slight incline pushing your toe to the edge making it way more snug . Im really confused about all the reviews saying go down a size

Go true to size, but if you can’t find your size and you can buy one half a size smaller, I think you’ll be good. But comfort is different for everyone, so maybe the best bet is to try them on first. 🤜🏼🤛🏼

Really can’t go wrong with either. But I think the v5 is slightly more comfortable. The v3 is more hyped right now, so it’ll be more of a flex than a regular v5.

Everybody says this shoes run large and go half size down but it is not true. A friend bought it for me. My current size is 27.5 cm for almost all my shoes. I had chance to try 43/27.5 cm in a store (They didnt have 42.5/27 cm). I thought it was wide and asked my friend to buy me 42.5/27 cm. It was a snug fit. My left foot was okey but right was more snug. After wearing 4-5 times, I decided I made a mistake cuz my right foot fingers crumble when I walk/run in these shoes. I will find a solution to make them wider. In conclusion, these shoes have relaxed fit, it is true to size according to cm length of your foot. These shoes are wide but doesnt run long. Take this into account when you buy. Dont buy without trying.
