This blue reminds me of the bodega 574's. I like it, and in pictures it does look dazzling, but overall I wouldn't get much wear out of them. I picked up the brown/gray/white 991v2's and absolutely love them. They have the perfect amount of cushion/support, and they fit my feet well!

I purchased both the dazzling blue and yellow colorways in Hong Kong where they are readily available in New Balance stores. They retail slightly higher though at about US$ 260.

One of my top 3 favorite silhouette is the 991v1, and Ive held out on getting the V2 just cuz it hasn't been doing it for me. But I think it's more of the colors they have used so far. But this is a very nice vibrant blue. Won't get these, but I'm waiting for the U991SG2 Silver Blues to drop this week, the color blocking on those remind me of the 991 of old. Great review as always

I bought a pair of 991v2’s in black. My first pair of 991’s. Got them true to size and when i got them & tried them out they did feel a bit long. Made me wonder what a .5 size down would feel like. Want to buy a pair of stone islands in .5 size down but im worried a .5 wouldnt fit comfortably

I feel that there's a good way to differentiate the 991 from the other 99X models: Let the 991 be the model utilising full leather (not suede) uppers. IMHO the 991 is often a "forgotten model"; not getting the shine like 990s, 992 and 993. I have 2 pairs of full leather 991s - The Elite Gent and Contemporary Luxe, both in full grain leather. They just look so so good on the 991 silhouette. And you know the material on them are A+++++ Just a thought

Interesting that your take on sizing is the same as mine, until I took a shot on a 0.5 down (for the tan model) and I have no doubts the v2 is a 0.5 down sizing shoe (just like many of my MiUS). Upper is very forgiving with time.

I don’t know sean I like the look of these better than the v6 but it sounds like the v6 are more comfy! The colorways is fire! I also heard the V6is narrow too. It I assume this 991 v2 is more narrow? I prefer this blue colorway! 😊🎉

I tried on the 990v6 in the same size as these 991v2’s… 990v6 definitely has more room in the toe box. I prefer the looks of the 991v2 however and while not as soft, I wore them all day yesterday and they were very comfortable.

Sooo, holding this thought for a while now, here you go - why people keep saying Made in UK or USA guarantees a better quality? Is there a chance the higher prices are because of the higher wages plus patriotism?

The higher price is definitely partly explained by cost to manufacture for sure. Made in Asia NB gets a bad rap sometimes, the materials are sometimes comparable to MIUSA / MIUK.

I would agree with that 100% There is a price to pay when Items are made in these two countries. Cost are a lot higher, but with regards to quality that's not always the case. Not saying its bad but there are flaws, which is expected some NB models get a lot of details put and unlike most Nike the don't use plastic leather.
