New Balance is normally a slightly wider shoe across the board. The logo for lockdown is also in the minimus tr for cross training, though they’re the best for lifting due to zero drop and floor feel. Great info, editing and the comic factor(minions) is unmatched as always.

I played in the 2way one and 2. Loved them both. They just sat on shelves at Scheels while like the Yanis Immortality flew off shelves. I think these will do the same. I'm grabbing a pair for sure. Their bball stuff is nice but your so right the competition for shelf space is so heavily stacked against them its not funny. I never thought about it like you said it.. always the best perspective!!!

Had to get myself 2 pairs of the omn1s when they came out, New Balance are doing great things! Enjoying having more options in the market and it'll only be more beneficial for us if there is more competition between brands. Keen to see what the new Harden Vol.7's are like too, never been huge on Adidas but aesthetically I love the way they look so hoping they can perform!

Just got this because of this review. I can’t remember what shoe you did but I remember you saying that it has to be comfortable when you wear the shoes without the extra effort of “breaking it in”. I felt that in these shoes. I have wide feet and it’s so hard to look for good shoes. My last pair was a Drose 11 that I got from GOAT because they don’t sell it locally anymore. So I always wait for your review on basketball shoes for wide footers. Other than the fuel cell could have an extra umph, it’s an underrated basketball shoes. these are beautiful! and i hope they do perform great on-court. although i have a weird sizing issue with new balance. on their running shoes, i was able to go a full size down (from sz10 to sz9) in order to get a proper fit. when i bought their Omn1s low, i got a sz9.5 but still got some heel slip. i cant go sz9 since it was already so tight on the midfoot area. both shoes do perform great, and i got them on sale so i was very happy! looking forward to these :)

I have a pair of Two WXY v1 Fiesta's and they are amazing shoes. New Balance is definitely a brand to look at for basketball shoes. Not only that I get complimented on them every time someone see's them.

These look super clean. Been playing in the jordan 36s and aside from sounding like squidward whilst wearing them, they’ve been great but are definitely beat up. I’ve thought about getting the new pgs or waiting for the kyrie 8s but if they release in the UK before these are a must buy 😮‍💨

Hey Chris! There are pucks of abzorb in front and (I think) rear of the shoe. That is why there are circles in the traction. Dual use for traction and the abzorb gel to expand.

You're so right about the ankle support myth, I had a pair of Reebok Pumps back in the day, and sprained my ankle so damn hard in those things 😆 ...THE PAIN

I loved all the Reebok pump models. But Out of all the different pump models my favourite for, "support" was the 1992 Reebok pump graphlite. That collar chamber was fantastic. It would grip your foot and keep it locked down tight. The Iverson auto pumps was great for that too. It's a good job they had a psi setting though, because they could actually get too tight, lol. Almost cutting your circulation off.😂

@@killingmyselftolive2526 those was dope. I had them too back in 91. It's one of my all time favourite shoes, no doubt about it. They definitely wouldn't have does much for your ankle though. That particular pump model only had a mid foot pump. The ankle area was just padding in that shoe. It was models like the 89 hi, twilight zone, 2 hi double pump, cxt, sxt and some runners that had air bladders in the ankle area instead of padding. Those was all great for locking your foot into place. I wish reebok would bring those back. I mean, some have been brought back, but the pump technology is that cheap made in China crap.

If you have a wide foot go up half size. The last eyelet has a rubber strapping system that is sized for a narrower foot. Lockdown was still great after sizing up. Grip is absolutely amazing.

Hey Chris, this is from the new balance product page: "A lively, dual-density, energy returning FuelCell midsole is amplified by ABZORB cushioning, strategically placed at the heel and forefoot." So it isn't just full length FuelCell. From the sound of it though you can't really feel the abzorb that much or at all from the try on which is disappointing. Can't wait for foot doctor to cut these in halves to see how much abzorb is in there.

How's the traction in dust? Do you have to wipe them often? I buy a ton of bball shoes and recently all the purchases have lost their grips after 1mo of play. They used to keep their grips without wipes :(

Just got them in all pink ..before all the hype comes for them at they are 500+. Seen my boy w em on and w everything being resold for car payments I’ve been reaching out for new brands. I looked adidas’s way but being a Nike/Jordan dude eh I’m good. I looked at puma ..I got the j coles and they were meh. I wanted the lamelos but omg the resellers. So I got the PG 6s🙂. Perfect. But everyone has them. I wanna be different..I like my own style..then ppl say buy the different color ways..look the shoe already looked kinda eh..luckily it performed excellent. I don’t want another color unless it’s the 500+ one 🙂. So then came my search .. something reasonable but stylish like the PG 6. I always wanted a pink hoop shoe.. like the KD 11s (aunt pearls)but surprise 🙂 500+. Anyway seen my boy w them on and did hella research..found a way to get em in pink for the low 😒 also found them on stock X for 288 soooo yeah. I got mine for 150 basically but maybe by September they’ll be that 500+😒. Got mine tho.

I've had a lot of issues with my ankle I had to get surgery on one the best shoes for me are the one from fila the Jamal mashburns and the Grant Hill because they have good ankle support anytime I wear low top shoes I roll my ankle

Damn, this review did not help. Got someone local selling the mostly white with blue and green accents and he's only wanting $50. They appear.tovbe barely worn. My biggest problem with this new age obsession with low tops is the limitations it places on design possibilities. You're basically removing somewhere around 25-33% of upper. Great for weight no doubt but now we're getting a bunch of really basic design schemes. If I'm not visually impressed I'm not buying, performance be damned.
