You both misspelled 'Ma Deuce'. A Designated Marksman's Rifle is generally a rifle caliber, semi automatic rifle with a box magazine and a magnified optical sight. A Squad Automatic Weapon is a fully automatic machine gun that fires either the same intermediate cartridge as the assault rifles used by the rest of the squad like the M249 that fires 5.56 and the RPK that fires 5.45; or a rifle caliber cartridge like the M240 in .308 or PKM in 7.62x54r. Jerry pretty much made a hand held full auto .50 cal; neither a DMR nor a SAW shoots a round that comes close to the size of a .50 cal.

The mistake people make when firing a high recoil gun, is not pulling the stock against your shoulder completely. Do that and the gun will push you, but it will not hit you. People have a tendency to hold it to their shoulder, but not press it in. That's where the mistake comes in.

i just wnted to clarify that the reason why he was so excited was because he pushed the gun to it's limit. the max that you coulda shot that thing faster in a perfect world is maybe one or two thousandths of a second. If he pulled the trigger 1 thousandth of a second shorter, the bolt wouldn't have closed and it wouldn't have fired the shot. He can shoot .18 of a second splits consistently but he actually had to pull back by a thousandth of a second to accomplish this. Essentially no one can beat this record. A machine would be extremely hard pressed to do this.

@0nesh0theadsh0t217 жыл бұрын
The weapon can only fire as fast as the bolt moves, since the .50 Caliber round is so large, it take a long time for the bolt to slide back after each shot compared to most other weapons. This allows him to fire it pretty fast because it is easier to time how much time it takes before pulling the trigger will cycle another round. In this slow motion, you see the bolt move back after each shot, then as soon as the bolt moves back into it original position, another shot is fired, that is what determines its maximum fire rate, which is around 200-250 rpm

whitemonk92 I don't know if that is the actual sound footage...I think it might just very well be a "manufactured" sound effect.....note the faster replay in slo-mo is virtually identical in sound...being as it would seem to be twice (faster) the speed of the ultra-slo-mo...the sound should be much higher in pitch.....but it isn't.
@AndieBlack1310 жыл бұрын
Ricardo Ellison Calculating via stop-watch, the first ultra-slow footage has round three to four timing of 6.7 seconds, in the "regular" slow-motion footage has the same interval of 1.73 seconds. A 3.87 ratio...So, the pitch of the "faster" of the two should be nearly four times higher....which it isn't .....Especially the bullet "ricochet" sound which is maybe around 800 hertz(frequency)....should be a high pitched whistling sound 3000 Hz!!
@whitemonk9210 жыл бұрын
After re-watching it, I think you could be correct. Still awesome however. Kind of sounds like the sound effect used in 90's animes for rifles
@fotoneurotic10 жыл бұрын
Ricardo Ellison Actually, what you're seeing is that they've expanded the time out, which is why the time seems to be longer. Even in the "regular" slow motion they're expanding out the time that the shooting occurred during. If they showed it in "regular time" there'd be no point to shooting it in slow motion now would there. Go back and watch mythbusters, educate yourself on high speed slow motion, because right now you're not getting it.
