Please do a history of a very unique mansion located on County Street at the Common Park. It has a large scallop shell carved over the front entrance. I've been fascinated with that home since childhood. A few decades ago my dad and brother had the opportunity to visit that home. The then owner told them he lived only on the first floor because of the ghostly "disturbances" upstairs. If the disturbances became too much for him, he found an uneasy peace in the house when he retreated to the rear section of the first floor. True story.

@@StevesBoston I don't have the exact address. It is on County street, facing east, towards the Common Park. I believe it is the second house from the corner of County and Parker. It has been many years since I've been to New Bedford, so I hope my memory serves me correctly regarding its exact position.
