NEW BELSTAFF Trialmaster Motorcycle Jacket Review

If any jacket in our range has earned the accolade of being called “iconic”, it has to be Belstaff’s Trialmaster. The jacket has been around since 1948 and while Belstaff have kept developing the technical details, the style has remained virtually unchanged.

Erm, the Trialmaster was copied from the Barbour International in 1949…..

They're both copies of military field jackets. IMO both are original enough in direction.

@@tom23245 during WW2, Barbour designed it as a one piece over suit for the Royal Navy, in 1948 they adapted the top half as a jacket for motorcyclists. In 1949, Belstaff copied it and called it the Trialmaster. IMO my research is correct, but you can verify this for yourself.

Hi, depending on use but re-waxing jackets is always best to keep them looking fresh and provide a longer use. - Iza

It's gone down in price, but it no longer has the removable thermal liner? Hmmm.
