Joe Budden is like the Gilbert Arenas of rap. They both have podcasts, neither were truly great but both did have a genuinely great prime, and both make the mistake of over-valuing players who were similar to them. Everything Benny talked about, Budden could relate to. The clout chasing issues with gold diggers. And because of that relatability, he completely overlooks how basic Benny's bars were vs Wayne. Wayne had internal rhyme and punchlines for days. Benny just spoke to Budden's life, just like how Gilbert over-values Ja Morant style players because it reminds him of himself.
