Nick I also recommend if you don't want to land at the vault to go to the top of the map where a gas station is located and a Dock it has 2 big slurp trucks, you should be fine if your not getting pushed and after looting all that though there is a mountain and at the top it a launch pad which you can take to get the key card for the storm then on the ice you can take that and when the island spawns drive there
