Good video mate. I like your presenting style and for that reason have watched many of your videos. You are actually responsible for me buying my GB small forest axe. Thank you for that! Awesome bit of kit. Anyhoo. This axe really doesn't "look" great for the money but it is really how it performs I guess. The way the wedge is placed really leaves me cold... Looking forward to seeing field testing. Keep up the great work with the vids mate!

thanks stuart! its great to get good feedback like that! I just try to make videos like the ones i like to watch. Abe over at itsawonderfulknife is probably ine if my favorite other channels. Hes been a bit quiet lately but he has a great back catalogue to watch. Aussiemark909 is another good, less intense gear channel. And Black Owl Outdoors, who have the avant garde portion of the market well and truly squared away. Glad you enjoy your Gransfors axe - they just feel special, don't they. I was sort if hoping for that same feel from this one, but havent got there yet...

Is this best or the Husq or X7?
@CedricAda

+BOOSTEDLASER Hey there! I can't speak for a husq - I've not handled one. The X7 is a deeper chopper, but has a smaller head so the work will probably take the same time. The Best Made one has much more weight so you'll get tired quicker from chopping. Will split logs better though. Overall its good, but I ended up selling it on, didn't connect with me the way my Gransfors Bruks axes do.

Google snedden axes, made in the hunter valley NSW. Better then any swedish made axe imo... Perfect for aussie hardwoods

Nice Video - how does it compare to Husqvarna Hatchet?

Thanks for the review. Can't go wrong with American steel, but $90 for THAT garbage handle job? I'd be embarrassed if that were my product. The Husqvarna is half the price on Amazon at the moment. I'll be going that route. Btw I really like my Estwing camper's axe (much bigger than the hatchet, blue rubber handle, the only problem is they're extremely heavy to carry, need a more packable axe, glad I saw this video.) thanks again!

+Nick Weiss I was a BIT crushed when I saw that mushroomed wedge when I opened it. The handle design is great, and would love a Gransfors with a straight handle now, having used this one.
