I was just in my Big Lots yesterday! They were still putting out Fall items and setting up displays. I know the closed 1 other Big Lots in Charlotte but the one on my side of Charlotte (out skirts) was not on the list for closure. It’s a pretty busy one and off a major freeway.

Big Lots filed for bankruptcy. One of ours closed but I hope we keep the other *fingers crossed

I think for me last year big lots started putting out christmas at the end of September. Cause when I went in around the beginning of September, they had some Christmas out. Not everything. I hope they can come up with a plan and not fully go into bankruptcy. As of right now, they have filed for bankruptcy protection. But yes, some stores are closing.

@Damaris.Antonia yes ppl go crazy when they hear a store filed for bankruptcy protection. But it's usually the media fault. Because they cause the frenzy. I worked for a company who 7 yrs ago filed bankruptcy protection. The media reported that the company filed bankruptcy, and all stores were closing. But at that point, that was technically false. Media left out it was a bankruptcy protection. The company wound up finding a buy at that time but they put in a bid with another company. They split the stores up. With the main company getting so many and the other getting others but the top company able to take up to 10 more. At the time in my state it was the only store here and the main company headquarters was located in my state and only way they were aware of us is because they came and visited our store. For whatever reasons they choose to give us to the other company which was a liquidation company and we closed. A year later they opened a new store in their city and started putting it out that it was the first one in our state. After they got called out on it they stopped that claims. The crazy part was our store had better numbers than the majority of the ones they kept. I think it was like 2 yrs later that company completely shuttered and or no longer in business. One of their ex district managers said it was a huge mistake not keeping us.

I am behind on shopping and I am decorating a week early because relatives are coming from out of state so this so many things popping up I am scrambling to find a costume I need a cauldron and some other things I have to harvest my herbs need to fix the basement tv
