I was researching the Gs as my next bike, amd came across your vids, they are great. Keep doing what your doing, they are honest and you have a likeable personality. Cheers from Sydney Australia

Congratulations on the GT. It looks like a sweet bike. A few weeks ago, I bought a 2018 MT09 as a second bike. It's terrific. I wish it had cruise control though. My main bike is a 2015 S1000RR and the cruise control comes in really handy as you mentioned, to rest after riding for an hour or more through the canyons. Maybe the Tracer 900 GT's cruise control can be adapted to the MT09 one day.

Good to hear you back dude... Good choise on your new bike, I sold my 2016 Africa Twin and got the Tracer 900 GT...I do not regret at all even considering they are a different type of bike !!!!

Cool, the AT seems to be great but much more off-road focused. I loved my off-road experience in Australia but here in NL is pretty much impossible, so not really an option for me.

I'm back :-) Although I'm already leaving (traveling for work) so it might be a few weeks until the next video. I know, I know, it's also frustrating to me, but I need to put some bread on the table...

I'am very curious what you have to tell us about you're new TraCer GT. A few months ago i bought the GPS mount that you told us. I like at very much and thanks for this tip!!

Glad to hear that. I am also very curious about the GT, can't wait to ride it a lot. Unfortunately I will have very little free time in the next three weeks (traveling for work), but I hope to compensate when I'm back.

You wondered why lots of people buy BMW GS’s? That’s because they are damn good bikes!
@CriticalRider
@CriticalRider 6 жыл бұрын
They're also very expensive, very big, very unreliable and very fashionable - and I'm sure this last one is the main reason why people buy it. Add to that the fact that the vast majority of these bikes won't ever go off-road, and you have to wonder why people by off-road bikes for the road...
@Builderman5
@Builderman5 6 жыл бұрын
Critical Rider Firstly they are not pure off road bikes (the clue is in the name, look it up) Secondly, unreliable? - not sure where you get your info from on that point. Yes, they are big but no more of a handful than a Tracer, but definitely more comfortable. I have had both so I can backup my view and know which one is better for touring. At the end of the day it’s all personal opinion and we can’t tell each other what to ride, we are all bikers.

I know very well what the G/S stands for. How many people use the G portion of the bike? An RT would suit the needs of a constellation of people much better, but that ain't cool now, is it? Playing Long Way Round is the deal, reminds me of the numbnuts that smoke Marlboro in the rain outside the office because the ad has a cowboy on a horse. Marlboro Country! And I never compared it to the Tracer, which is akin to the XR, not the GS. And the reliability? Give me a break...
@Builderman5

Critical Rider You can’t stop people buying what they want and the advertising/promotion is obviously working. Just like Range Rovers never go off road, But they sell 100’s of 1000’s of them.
@CriticalRider

I'm not trying to stop anybody, and I have a huge respect for BMW for what they pulled off, as a company. Same goes for Harley or Range Rover, they sell emotion at high prices. I think it is stupid to let your emotions play a role in these decisions, and that influences somewhat my opinion on people. I know many great people that ride GS, most never go off-road, and those have a little bit less respect from me than the others. But just like I'm free to have my opinion, so is everybody else free to chose whatever bike they want. Just don't tell me a GS is the best option for the usage given.

people buy GS because it is the best all rouder motorcycle that money can buy, I went to a dealership in portugal to test ride the tracer 900 gt and the GS 1200, first i test ride the GS and then the tracer, and they are different worlds the GS is so much more in everything, that I was shocked when I was test ride the tracer, when I got on the tracer it seemed that I did not know how to drive, everything in the GS is refined, everything is smooth and precise and incredible that seems much easier and intuitive to drive , in relation to the size and weight is incredible the weight distribution and ease of maneuver that the GS offers, maybe if I had the test ride on different days I did not have this opinion but try one after another the GS for me worth every euro , because the quality of riding is much but much superior, the tracer is a reasonable motorcycle, in the touring segment of 800cc up is perhaps the weakest, and I have already ride the great majority like the, versys 1000, Africa Twin, Tiger 800, Ktm 1090 or Multistrada 950 which is my motorcycle, but the only truth is that the best bike is the one that makes us feel good, congratulations for the new machine.

The GS, really? Super expensive, fat and heavy, ugly as f.ck, appalling reliability. I wouldn't take it for a coffee, let alone touring. You see, I don't like to spend my vacation time on the side of the road waiting for a mechanic. No thanks.

@@CriticalRider just getting caught up on your channel. In terms of touring how would you compare the minor differences between the XSR and the tracer? Specifically the comfort for longer rides (I found your channel researching better seats for the XSR).
@CriticalRider
@CriticalRider 4 жыл бұрын
@@seaninness334 they're similar (in terms of seat comfort) for different reasons. The Tracer seat has better padding, but worse shape and position, so in the end they're both ok. I can ride a full weekend without issues, some people will certainly complain.
