Ok so in the video I say my inside leg is 28inch when sat on bike. I would just like to say this is incorrect and my inside leg is 32 inches. You get an impression then how long legged you need to be for the Rally models over the GT models. Apologies for this 👍

Welcome to the Tiger 1200 club! I have the GT Pro version, and returned a couple of weeks ago from a tour down to the Italian Alps and Lake Como...the bike was flawless, apart from the height; I think the method of standing on a footpeg to mount needs to be adopted, otherwise it's a bit much...and I'm the same height as you. But apart from that, it's a great bike
@MOTOUK1 Жыл бұрын
I still need to do the Italian alps and lakes, maybe in august time this year. I just throw my leg over, maybe that’s why my back is aching 😂
@paullee6663 Жыл бұрын
Silly question but are you sure your Inside leg is only 28" at 6'''-2"? I've never tried the Triumph for size but I have a 28" IL (at 5'-6") even allowing for suspension sag, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to flat foot it. Usually anything over 800mm is at best balls of my feet for me. Sorry, nice bike by the way!
@MOTOUK1 Жыл бұрын
You got me I even had to measure this morning when I watched the video back. It’s 32 inches, at 54 years old you Would think I know this well. 😂😂 I think only option would be the extra cost low seat. The rally is taller than the GT
@paullee6663 Жыл бұрын
@@MOTOUK1 🤣 🤣 No worries! Yes, I was watching a rider from India after your video who was talking about the lower seat, I think he said it lowered the bike to 790mm at it's lowest setting, which would still be on the balls of my feet for me most likely. Have to admit you've got me looking at the IOM for my next trip. Enjoy your new bike! Much more suited to your longer trips I think.

@MOTOUK1 Жыл бұрын
I so loved my MT10SP but it wasn’t a bike for longer trips. The Tiger is one if not the comfiest motorcycles I have ridden. Having done two big europe trips to Switzerland and to Italy now on tiger I know I made the right choice. I am really happy with the two bikes using my Bonneville for more special local rides when the weather is ok. I picked up my rally pro with 3450 miles on the clock at a good price some £4,500 cheaper than new price so there are some bargains to be had out there.

Great choice buying the tiger 1200, definitely the pick of the bunch of big adventure bikes. I dipped my toes into big adventure bikes 2 years ago because my fireblade was just getting far too uncomfortable for touring so I bought a v strom 1000 for touring and kept the blade for weekend blasting and in isolation the v strom was amazing fun, could wheelie it for days handled superbly for Scotland's roads and was all day comfortable two up with luggage for days on end but any time I rode it back to back with the blade it couldn't give me the same buzz so it got traded in after a year for an mt10 and honestly I can't ever see me parting with it. Its the ultimate do it all bike for me, it's right there with the superbikes on the road, i can load it up with my givi hard luggage and tour for the week and its comfy enough two up with the wife for a day out.
@MOTOUK1 Жыл бұрын
Yes I know I had the MT10SP for 6 years and never wanted to sell but was offered a good trade in value against the tiger. Happy with that and the Bonneville now 👍

@@MOTOUK1 if I had my way I'd add a tiger 1200 or a GSA 1250 to my collection but it'd be hard to justify the cost when I would likely only use it for touring 2 up. I just couldn't see myself opening up the garage and choosing anything other than the Mt for everything else.

Hello. A question for Triumph Tiger 1200 owners: how does the gearbox work in this motorcycle? I feel like I'm in a tank. With noticeable resistance, jump and sound. Regardless of whether with or without quikshifer. Witam.

So as the owner of the 1200 rally pro in this video, the gearbox is great and works fine with the quickshifter / blipper. Only from 1st to 2nd can feel notchy. Apart from that very smooth when shifting 3800rpm and above and down shifts are great below. If you feel it’s bad take it to your dealer
